I do a lot of my "reading" by listening to audiobooks on my MP3 player. Audible.com has a subscription plan that lets you choose among several different players (I picked the Creative MuVo TX 1Gb, and it has done admirable service).

I've just finished the Terry Pratchett books currently available (up to Thud!), and am going through Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin series once more. I'm also working my way through Pimsleur Spanish I.

In actual paper books, I'm reading Steven Jay Gould's I Have Landed, his last collection of essays, and I'm starting Adam Smith's The Theory of Moral Sentiments. I've been curious about "Adam Smith's other book" since listening to The Wealth of Nations.

Another series my dad got me into: Chanur.

Currently finishing up Chanur's Homecoming, then just have Chanur's Legacy before having to move onto Cherryh's other works, or read about the humans in that universe.

Actually very interesting. Grab a copy.

Just finished Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett, and now I'm working through the four translated volumes of Barefoot Gen. Not a series for those put off by the horrors of war, because Nakazawa doesn't spare the reader.

I use the term 'reading' loosely here but I've been looking at my good old copy of 'The World's Greatest Book of Useless Information'. Similar to those random facts you read on the internet except hopefully a bit more truthful!

e.g. "If all the gold suspended in the world's seawater were mined, each person on earth would receive about 4.5kg (10Ib)."

Interesting!
