I started reading 'The Dante Club' last week. Also I have a few more chapters of a book called 'Come Closer', which is quite good.

I just finished Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner's Freakonomics. I am now moving onto Thomas L. Friedman's The World Is Flat.

Just finished Catch-22 which was awesome, and now I'm reading A Walk In the Woods by Bill Bryson. All of Bill Bryson's work is great,and this is one of his best.

Anyway, still trying to work on Josh (it's a review book so I'll have to get to it at SOME point).
Today's book has been microserfs by Douglas Coupland. The plot: Employees of Microsoft/ computer industry decide it's time for a life change and go out to start their own company/program with a friend. Basic program idea: Legos. Told through Daniel's first person point of view, it's actually kind of interesting (thought provoking stuff) and funny.

I heard the sequel wasn't that good...but the first one is still rather popular.

Whilst cleaning my room I found what I thought to be my forever missing copy of 'The Epic of Gilgamesh', so I've decided to reread it just for the sake of it.

I liked it.
The sequel wasn't that good...Read a book called The Lightning Thief, author Rick Riordan, on vacation in Canada. It's pretty cool.

My dad got me into the Miles Vorkosigan saga. Currently I've read three of the compilation volumes, currently reading one of the stand-alones, Brothers in Arms.

Today I started reading The Black Dahlia. I'm only like 2 pages in and I'm hooked.

I found it in my school book store and it has nothing to do whatsoever with my classes but I bought it anyway for eleven bucks.
A book detailing the original screenplay that was edited heavily for one of my top 100 films "A Raisin in the Sun". With Spike Lee in there as well, so you know there's going to be some hatin' going on on somebody.

Lois McMaster Bujold is one of my favorite authors. I picked up The Warrior's Apprentice in 1984, devoured it, and returned to the book store to find she had two other books out as well, all published that year. I was thrilled, and have been a fan of hers ever since.

You started reading the series before I was even born!! While I love the Miles Vorkosigan series, another REALLY good book by her is "Curse of Chalion". It's VERY good. The sequel is still pretty good, but not as good as that one.
And I'm currently reading a book for a class that doesn't start for a week. It's called "The Impending Crisis: 1848-1861" (My class is on the Civil War). It's really well written so far. I've only read the first chapter so far, though.
