Does anyone know what the difference is between the regular Evangelion DVD's and the Platinum collection?

Overlays are on screen translations for signs and what not. vol.1 the regular edition was terriable in that aspect, as they translated like EVERY sign that was on screen.

Platinum Collection has completely remastered picture/audio, the Director's Cut episodes, and lots of extras. The original release is light on extras, has crappy picture/audio, and hard subs.
The thinpack box of the Platinum Collection doesn't include extras though. But you still get the excellent remastered quality.

Yeah, I realized that now. All I need anymore is the 3rd and the 6th editions. Took advantage of giftcards and some great offers. Man, I'm going to have a lot of Evangelion watching ahead of me.
