Currently, when I type in
www.gamefaqs.com I am being redirected to gamespot.com.
I asked a friend and he doesn't have that happen. I'm thinking maybe it's adware? But I did a scan and it didn't come up with anything.
Anyone else having this happen?

Doesn't happen to me.
Anyway even spysweeper only catches like 80% of adware... so its still possible something nasty is f***ing with your internets.

no problems here. in fact I was just there using one of their Digital Devil Saga 2 guides.

No, I can access the site just fine. See if a different browser has the same problem. If so, you might want to check the file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and delete any lines related to gamefaqs.com.

Well, I cleared all cookies and the cache, and restarted. Now I don't get redirected.
I checked hosts, nothing related to gamefaqs there.

Your browser can't take the suckiness of Gamefaqs so it redirects you to something less sucky to prevent overload.

The site is very helpful, like X said the forums are awful. mostly just rabid FF fanboys that have WAY to much free time.
