Pretty quiet here... Anyway, a few thoughts. I thought Okuru was an interesting character. That part at the end where he pulled the flaming arrow out of himself to stab the guy (while on fire) was pretty badass.

I personally also really enjoy the fight scenes throughout this series, they're one reason why I like this show so much. Jin's fight in particular was interesting in this ep, I liked that slow motion effect. It seemed like that Yukimaru guy wanted Jin to kill him...

I think that it was cute how they all got back together, and the guys acting like nothign had ever even happend. I'm in agreeance that the stabbing of the the guy with the flaming arrow was badass as hell. The jumping off the cliff while on fire was equally badass.

Indeed, that guy's death was quite badass in every possible way. He sure did stay alive while on fire for a long time too, it really seemed as if he could have survived. It was interesting to learn that the mountains were a place of rebirth, since the journey was reborn there. Jin's fight with his former friend was cool too. Really glad to see the group together again, and I am looking forward to the next episode.
P.S.
When I die, I want to jump off a cliff while on fire.

Didn't Okuru have the same VA as Batou from GiTS? That dude has an awesome voice.

Pretty interesting 2-parter after the goofy Bogus Booty. This story seemed to be a refocusing of the characters' original mission toward a final push to the end of the series. We'll see.

Not too bad of an episode and its pretty much agreed, that guy Okuru was the personification of badass.
Gets struck by arrows of fire. So what?
Pulls them off him and kills the ring leader. Big deal.
Walks off the cliff still on fire and according to Mugen is still probably alive. Everyday thing.
Watching Jin fight is always a pleasure and that guy just seemed like a big fan of Jin's whose dream was to be killed by his idol. Drems do come true. And the group is all back together, which means that's there's harmony in the world of Champloo again.
Peace.

I thought this episode was very good. Okuro was nice even though what happened to him, being accused for his own families death. With that he still ran and did not explain himself or try to explain to the officers that he didn't do it.

The fact that Jin told Fuu that she had a strong sense of duty, spoke volumes. Hmm...Maybe he does have a new sense of respect towards Fuu...I don't know we'll see, I guess.
Yay! New episode of SC is going to be on tomorrow night, and I heard that this one is going to be wacky!!! Maybe even wackier than the "Bogus Booty" episode!

It's 26 episodes, so they've got about 9 more episodes to go.
