I'll try and keep this short and just say that I'm for Big O and Ghost in the Shell. Basically, I think their cinematography is flawless. Cowboy Bebop's is pretty damn good as well but Big O and Ghost in the Shell is like the upper tier stuff for me.

Nine XXVI's Picks: Big O, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Peace.

Welcome everybody to the 2006 Academy Animated Awards!

This thread is for Best Cinematography and I've made some updates on the last year version, showing what the details of the Best Cinematography category all about, who won, and who else was nominated for the award.

Best Cinematography Presenter: R.Smith

Like last year, you get to vote for two of the nominees. And those nominees are:

:: Cowboy Bebop - Yoichi Ohgami

:: FullMetal Alchemist - Susumu Fukushi

:: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG - Koji Tanaka

:: Princess Mononoke - Atsushi Okui

Peace.

Ghost in the Shell has some of the best photography I've seen in a while, regarding both anime and live series. Same as with Cowboy Bebop, who I thought would win it last time.

EDIT: Um. I'm kind of surprised that FMA is gettin' no love in this department.
Peace.
