Episode 14 Discussion: "Misguided Miscreants, Part 2"

Oooh, that guy who wanted Mugen to partner up with him and who has that sister just got slcsed and skuered by Jin. Oh yeah, Mugen is alive and made a crack about Jin really thinking that he'd die without killing him first.
And so they all go on.

Pretty cool episode. It was interesting to see more of Mugen's past. I knew Mugen did not die in the explosion, but they did a good job of keeping the suspense going as to when he was going to come back and what he was going to do. I was slightly dissappointed that Mugen and his old partner did not fight, but the twist ending was a pretty good replacement. I did not expect that girl to be the one who actually tricked them all. I did feel kind of sorry for her though, since the man she was planning on escaping with was killed, and now she is all alone.

What a depressingly good episode! I was wondering what exactly that girl meant to Mugen. Why didn't he kill her? Was it because he wanted to punish her? I was a little confused, so she never really loved Mugen or did she just see the other dude as her "way out"?

Wow. I knew that this second part would have to end ugly. But the double-cross/triple-cross action gave it a nice twist.

Jin going up against the revolver-toting dude was pretty sweet.
