Yeah, the NBA Playoffs are set this weekend. Somethin' so wee!
Eastern Conference:
1. Detroit Pistons vs. 8. Orlando Magic
4. Miami Heat vs. 5. Chicago Bulls
3. Toronto Raptors vs. 6. New Jersey Nets
2. Cleveland Cavaliers vs. 7. Washington Wizards
Western Conference:
1. Dallas Mavericks vs. 8. Golden St. Warriors
4. Utah Jazz vs. 5. Houston Rockets
3. San Antonio Spurs vs. 6. Denver Nuggets
2. Phoenix Suns vs. 7. LA Lakers
The Rockets have homecourt advantage and they better win against the Jazz, that's all I'm saying.
Peace.

First day of the NBA Playoffs went down with four games:
Detroit defeated Orlando 100 - 92
New Jersey defeated Toronto 96 -91
Chicago defeated Miami 96 - 92
Houston defeated Utah 84 - 75
Just some quick notes: The Magic missed just about every free throw they shot... Vince Carter didn't play that well as Richard Jefferson dropped 28 points... Luol Deng dropped 33 points and Wade and Shaq were having troubles all game... Tracy McGrady didn't score a field goal in the first half and then exploded for 23 points in the second.
Houston leads 1-0, yay! And tomorrow are the Warriors vs. Mavericks, Lakers vs. Suns, Wizards vs. Cavaliers and Nuggets vs. Spurs.
Peace.

That's an impressive set right there. Hopefully the Lakers game'll be good. But.. why does nobody do this with Soccer? Am I the only soccer fan here?
War.
the Devils continue to be awesome. One more game and they move on to the next round. Who are they going to play? I think the Rangers but I'm not sure.
...yes there is still hockey.

I use you as proof I'm not the only hockey fan still alive.

We did it for the World Cup last year. You need to go through the thread for that a while back.
Also, from yesterday NBA Playoffs games:
Phoenix defeated LA Lakers 95 - 87
Cleveland defeated Washington 97 - 82
Denver defeated San Antonio 95 - 89
Golden St. defeated Dallas 97 - 85

I don't want to sound like I'm telling you what to do or anything but could possibly one of you guys put up what's going around the NHL Playoffs and not just a specific team? I'd be interested to get your perspective about what's going down and all so a general view of the whole league would be nice. Like for one, whose in the second round of the playoffs now? I'm just sayin'.
Peace.

Also Floyd Mayweather defeated Oscar De La Hoya by a split decision in 12 rounds in the Middleweight Championship fight tonight
Tracy, when will you learn to shut up before you actually play? I wish 088nd was here. At least I can make myself feel better and rub it in his face that the Rockets did better than the Mavericks. But alas Houston, alas. You disappoint... yet again. ;_;

Dirk Nowitzki won the NBA MVP award.
Somewhere in Texas, 088nd just squealed like a schoolgirl. For all those haters lining up to bash Nowitzki and the Mavs for blowing their 67 win season by losing to the Warriors in the first round, Dirk completely deserves this award.
The Jazz beat the Warriors last night to win the series in five and are in the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 1998. 6 for 30 for three point shooting? Bad form, Golden State. Bad form. Also, the Pistons lost (yay!) and the front office suspended Robert Horry of the Spurs for two games and Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw for one game each. I don't like the ruling, but I'm not going to bitch about it like some of the basketball bloggers are already.
Also, the Red Wings beat the Ducks 5-0 to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Damn. And Tomas Holmstrom got checked and messed up, bad.
EDIT: Much worse than what Horry gave Steve Nash that is.
Peace.

This Thursday, the NBA Finals start. The San Antonio Spurs vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers. I'm a Spurs fan, so I'm rooting for them but I'm "worried" for some reason. I mean, the Cavaliers aren't a bad team but their still a deeply flawed team. I mean, they somehow beat Detroit and all, even for for just about the entire series Detroit played like crap and all but still. Anyway, hopefully Spurs in five.
What the f*** is Billy Donovan up to? Who the hell signs a five year/27 million dollar contract and then literally, days later, tries to get out of that contract to go back to the college program he just left and won a National Championship with? Really, what sense does that make and what's the point?
Anyway, Stanley Cup Finals as well. What I still remember from a couple of days ago, the Ducks were leading the series 3-1.
Peace.
