I mean, technically, its one yankee team vs. another...

Lol, yankee teams. You and your Southern hijinks.

You'll forgive me if I still harbor hostilities stemming from the "recent unpleasentness," won't you? Some of us down here are still a little burned up over the War of Northern Aggression, pun not intended but found amusing afterwards.

edit: That may or may not have been a really bad in-joke, I can't tell sometimes.
Generalissimo D 01-22-2007 11:30 PM
I wish I was not in the South.

But yeah, I want to see Bears and Colts fighting over a football.

It's all good, friend. And I... can't tell as well, Money. Also this reminds me, I watched Cold Mountain recently. It was straight, despite having Jude Law in it.

One more thing...

ANTHONY AND IVERSON ARE GONNA BE RUNNIN' WILD UP HERE.
Peace.

Also, with your hate of the Manning boyz (Like Elisha Manning) I guess I can understand where you are coming from Mike. But look on the bright side, it could be worse. Your team could be the Lions.
Peace.
*nods* Yep. It definately is worse for us as the Lions are the local team. They are the last of our teams that needs to break out of the super long funk that they are in.

Actually, the Colts are a seven to one favorite to win the Super Bowl. But yeah, I just wanted to throw that out there. Place your bets accordingly.

Shocked

Why, why, WHY do people still choose to ignore everything the Bears have accomplished, especially after the season they had? Now, I don't know much about football, but...

Or more to the point... What does America have against Chicago?

I don't know myself, but maybe its because that most don't like Rex Grossman (they are still waiting for him to f*** up, and the Super Bowl is the NFL's biggest stage...) and that the Bears are sort of a flawed team. They have great defense but they have a hard time on offense and aren't that offensively great anyway.

Also, former Cowboys' coach Bill Parcells retired yesterday and the Steelers hired Mike Tomlin as head coach.
Peace.

Mwah. Just you wait and see.

That's not a bear. That's not a bear at all.

Also, the reserves for the NBA's All-Star Game are going to be announced tonight. Somethin' so w00t.
Peace.
Nine Kuze 02-04-2007 06:03 PM
I just woke up recently and remembered that the Super Bowl was on tonight. Like OMG and all that, I completely forgot.

Well since Evan is talking about the commercials in another thread *shrugs*, I guess the actual importance of the event, the game that is, can be talked about here.

Right now, the Bears are up 14-6 against the Colts in the first quarter and the Bears have possession.
Peace.
Nine Kuze 02-04-2007 08:57 PM
Yeah, there's like one minute and change left and the Colts are going to win the SUper Bowl.

Two interceptions in five throws leading to touchdowns? Bad form, Grossman. Bad form. They'll probably throw the MVP to Manning but I still wonder whose going to win it.

EDIT: Yeah, Manning got the MVP.
Peace.
SEELE 08 02-04-2007 10:04 PM
Well Now I KNOW I'm somehow stuck in an alternate reality.
**Spoilers** The Colts won.

....since I'm new to this alternate reality....is there a 3rd Season of Big O? Does GAINAX not whore out Evangelion? Did George Bush win the Nobel Prize?
Mike 02-04-2007 11:44 PM
That was an amazing 1st quarter, and then a bunch of crap.

Screw you, Peyton.
Capt. Quekolis 02-06-2007 06:44 PM
I wanted the Bears to win but they just couldnt get it together
Nine Kuze 04-15-2007 08:37 PM
Not really news but I just wanted to say its Jackie Robinson Day in the MLB today. Today in 1947, Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball and played in his first game in the majors with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Some are wearing the number 42 as a tribute, such as managers and players like Willie Randolph and Ken Griffey Jr. and hell, five entire teams are wearing the number 42, notably the LA Dodgers.
Peace.
Mike 04-15-2007 09:08 PM
The Devils lost. But they won the other day, so it's 1-1. They can make it, Brodeur is God.
Pie_Junkie 04-16-2007 08:21 PM
Devils lost? They was playin' Tampa Bay right? I missed it Saturday.

I saw that on ESPN, aka the only thing that loves me.
Mike 04-17-2007 07:00 PM
Mariano Rivera ALWAYS wears 42.
.....'cause he wore it before Jackie Robinson's number was universally retired.

60 years ago, cool.

Correction, one of two things that love you Holleh.

*hugs Holleh*

They were thinking for the longest time of doing the same thing with Michael Jordan's number in the NBA. That would be a weak idea, but yeah.

Also, NBA referee Joey Crawford got suspended for the rest of the season because of what happened between him and Tim Duncan (he pretty much threw him out of the game when he was on the bench for laughing at him. Bad form Crawford, bad form) and meh Rockets have home court advantage against the Jazz. W00t! GO GO HOUSTON!
Peace.
