Yeah, Detroit is going down to NYY. Them Yankees are just too damn loaded. Also, Game 2 of that series was just postponed due to rain.

And yeah, the NL sucks. I was thinking that the Mets would come out that no problem but that pitchin' staff is somethin' so messed up. But they did win tonight against the Dodgers.

I had no idea that hockey already started their season.

The Eagles/Cowboys game is coming up so you ESPN is going to be startin' their senseless hype machine. God, I hate ESPN.

Also, the reason I'm afraid why the Pacers won't win the NBA Championship; Jermaine O'Neal cut his braids.

And speaking of new looks in the NBA;

;_; Also, I have no idea who that is, so he can't be that good.
Peace.

I drafted my fantasy basketball roster today. It looks as follows:

PG - Jason Terry
SG - Josh Smith
G - Richard Hamilton
SF - Tayshaun Prince
PF - Dirk Nowitzki
F - Vladmir Radmanovic
C - Brad Miller
C - Brendan Haywood
Utility - Udonis Haslem
Utility - Anthony Johnson
Bench - Dark Milicic
Bench - Leandro Barbosa
Bench - Austin Croshere

The only flaw to my draft is an obvious lack of a good center :/

I'm really excited to get pre-season NBA under way. I've been dying for professional basketball since the worlds.

Also, I really don't have a beef with T.O. He's played hard for the Cowboys so far, and that's all that matters. Sure he doesn't have a touchdown, but he draws coverages away from Terry Glenn so he can make the great plays. I hope they beat Philly, mainly because I'm a Cowboys fan.

But yeah, the hype is so ridiculous. Even more than the Manning Bowl, which is shocking.

Um, your team is alright. But there are some things that bother me and that I'd like to address to you, you if don't mind of course.

- A great shooting team in guys like Terry, Prince, Nowitzki, Radmanovic, Miller, Barbosa, and Croshere. But other than Prince, Smith, Hamiliton, Haslem, and Johnson its not that good defensively.

- Your guard situation kind of startles me. Hamiliton may be very durable but it still not comforting that the only guards you have for reserve are Johnson and Barbosa. I can actually see Johnson getting a lot of time down the stretch since he's the only pure poing guard got on your roster.

- You're right with the center position. Having Haywood screams that you need help there but having Miller and Haslem doesn't hurt at all. Having Miller is good but it would have been better to get a better backup. Like I said, Haslem can play the five as well and work with that small ball with Prince, Hamilton, Smith, and Terry. But Haywood scares me, he has no inside presence and defense and I'm not to sure on him backing up Miller is all.

- A great running team, and they should be playing up tempo most of the time.

- Other than the five, the small forward position is the weakest here. Prince is good but other than that, there's no real second option to go to. There's Croshere but he's not exactly the picture of health. And I guess that Darko can play some time at small forward as well as Radmanovic.

- Josh Smith is a nice pickup and Terry and Hamiliton are going to be shooting lights out on kids.

- Nowitzki is obviously the centerpiece and its nice to have solid players with experience around him (Hamiliton and Prince) but more veterans would have been nice.

You got a nice team with a lot of opinions such as playing small, fast, big, and with some nice scoring opinons as well. Just a critical standpoint on my part.

And that Manning Bowl thing was completely idiotic.
Peace.

Yeah, I honestly messed up my draft big time now that I've had more time to think. I drafted too many players from one team, and now I realize I don't have a good SF. Should've drafted Howard :/

I could either trade for Howard by giving up Milicic and Barbosa, or I could sign Juwan Howard of the Rockets. I'm leaning towards the former, seeing as Juwan won't be getting as many minutes this year with T-Mac and Battier covering SF-SG.

Oh yeah. NYY vs DET series in now 1-1 heading back to Detroit for game 3 tomarrow.

Those darn Pacers.

What's up with NBA players and Indianapolis night clubs. First Michael Olowokandi from two years ago and now this. At least Jackson didn't start the affair and he was defending myself. As to saw the opposite of what happened in 2004 on my birthday. You know what's up. Besides, if you look between the lines, Jackson is crazier than Ron Artest. At least Ron-Ron lets that stuff to be known publicly, its the quiet ones you have to watch out for. Also, the real surprise is is that "Whoo!" didn't shot anybody.

Am I surprised that Jamaal Tinsley was there? Hell to the no. Am I surprised that he didn't get injured during the shooting and have to sit out like this was the season. Well, yes I am.

And Marquis Daniels, welcome to Indiana.

Anyway, the Tigers shut out the Yankees tonight and took the lead 2-1. We gots a damn good series. And also the A's swept the Twins. Didn't see that one coming. not at all. Now, I think NYY will definetly win now. Although, the Tigers are apparently not going to make it easy.
Peace.
Wingnut 10-07-2006 07:47 PM
It seems you were wrong Mr. 26. The Tigers blasted the Yankees out of the ballpark 8-3 with the last two comeing far too late to make any difference.
088nd, perhaps you should change your title from Slumpin to something more approperate, like "Yankee Killer" or something to that effect.

Um, my bad. That was the last score I saw. Thanks for the update.

Hehehe. He called me Mr. 26, that gives me an idea.
Peace.

MURDEROUS RAGE

Holy crap, Mike. How do you let the Tigers (the f***in' Tigers!) beat you? GO GO A-Rod?... Out of NY that is.

So, A's and Tigers in the AL Finals and the Mets finished off the Dodgers. Padres force Game 4 on the Cardinals.

This is an interesting read; What's wrong with all the 30 teams in the NBA?
Peace.
Nine Kuze 10-19-2006 11:10 PM
The Cardinals just beat the Mets in Game 7 of the National League Series, 3 to 1.

So, the Detriot Tigers vs. the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. Who do you got?
Peace.

Tigers in 4.

You're doing an official article on your top seven NBA teams? That's damn nice man and I'll be looking forward to that.

As far as the Tigers go, they tied up the series 1-1 against the Cardinals in the World Series.

As far as Kenny Rogers however goes, apparently he may have used some "dirt" as an unfair advantage to get that perfect game of his.

The great American pastime; cheating in baseball. Any thoughts on the matter anyone?
Peace.

Whatever it was, it was gone by the top of the second, and he still threw seven more scoreless innings.

Yeah, that's true so I don't see the whole bigass controversy angle that's trying to be pulled here. Even Tony La Rossa (Cardinals manager) agreed that he didn't think it was dirt.

Also, this is kind of random but I found this AMV (the quality sucks somethin' so hard); Tracy McGrady - 13 pts, 35 secs to beat the Spurs.

I remember watching that game and going crazy at the finish. If he's healthy, watch out for my Rockets to do some damage this year.

Also, the Washington Wizards get their Project Runway on (it's a golden uniform).

Speaking of the Wizards, how damn cool is Gilbert Arenas?

Gilbert did have quite a summer. As far as preparing for the season, well, he can’t get any fitter. He already shoots jumpers at 4am, and sleeps in a high altitude tent. He even runs his dogs on treadmills. And he can’t get any mentally tougher, having spent the offseason playing massive amounts of Halo and completing large jigsaw puzzles. He even travelled to Romania (he stayed with with the Muresans) to have the gypsy curse lifted, the one LeBron James dropped on him at the foul line in that playoff game. So Gilbert did the only thing left to do. He got crazier! He had the body of Superman, now he’s got the brain of Margot Kidder!

That damn cool.
Peace.

Yeah, but when was the last time the Rockets won a playoff series, even WITH Yao and T-Mac? There aren't enough balls used in the NBA for the Rockets to be good, anyways.

That being said, the Raptors are looking VERY good in the preseason right now. Oh and:

Jets won, Giants won, Dallas lost.
