I wanted to pump this one out so that you guys have a lock on what's going on in the movie world at this moment. The links are from Comingsoon.net, a great site about movies. So, here you go and enjoy...

In X-Men 3, they got Beast, they got Archangel, and they supposedly got the Phoenix Force. But according to this, they don't have our favorite certain cajun onboard...

Aside from the Rush Hour movies, Chris Tucker hasn't done a movie in around seven years. And it looks like there ain't gonna be a Rush Hour 3. From Jackie Chan and other producers, they said that Tucker refused to sign on because of contract troubles and because dude was getting paid enough...

Ashlee Simpson really made a movie?! I thought people were just seriously kidding about that. If she can't sing and can't square dance, what the hell makes her think that she can act? Her movie Undiscovered came out this summer and people are saying that it's worse than Mariah Carey's Glitter. It really that bad. Check out how it did, or how bad it really, really did...

After masing the big screen as Howard Hughes, Leo DiCaprio is gonna play former President Thedore Roosevelt...

Now this is before people actually went out and saw it but Fanstatic Four producer Ari Avid (or something like that) was soooooooo convinced that the FF would do so damn well (I bet he had a rude awakening) that he has already started working on the sequel. That's right, a sequel and the main villian is the Puppet Master?!...

007 secret agent James Bond is kind of in limbo right now. Pierce Brosnan is tired of playing him, Hugh Jackman didn't want to play him, and neither did Clive Owen but they already have a script out from the first JB book from Ian Fleming, Casino Royale...

Going down the superhero lane a little bit, James Marsden (Cyclops from the X-Men franchise) as already agreed to be The Flash and Deadpool some time down the future as (I think) Ryan Reyonlds is going play either Green Lantern or Green Arrow. I just know its someone green. Marvel also announced that they were going to start a 10 movie project, making movies from Captain America, Nick Fury, Doctor Strange, as well as making a Punisher II, Hulk II, and Daredevil II. WHY?????...

Other sequels that are being filmed are Saw II and Carlito's Way II. CW II is about Carlito's rise to power as Saw II, from what I heard, is like the first one. Except instead of two people trapped in a bathroom not knowing that they have many things in common, its EIGHT people that don't know they have many things in common with each other. That's just what I heard a while ago...

Joaquin Phoenix and Resse Witherspoon are starring in a Johnny Cash biopic called, Walk The Line...

And lastly, there may be a Lance Armstong biopic with Matt Damon starring as the great cyclist. Armstrong, who recently got engaged to Sheryl Crow (you go boy!) talked about that and said he would love it if Damon stared as him.

Titanic severely damaged Leonardo Dicaprio's career but he can act. He was good in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape?', 'Catch Me if You Can' and his performance as a twitchy mentally disturbed Hughes in 'The Aviator' was unnerving in the best sense of the word.

I'm certainly not a fan of Dicaprio (and I was a bit worried going into 'The Aviator' and 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape?') but his performances, from what I've seen, are solid.

So, who knows. The Roosevelt pic could good.

edit: As far as superhero movies, someone wake me up when venom is in the next spiderman movie/they just make an entire movie about venom (it'll never happen but...DAMN would that be cool)

From what I know Newline secured their livelyhood by getting ahold of all the badass character rights. That means Venom. So its a possbility....

I saw this ad, for a movie called "venom". And I was all excited...

No it's about some dead guy who emerges from a SWAMP.

Don't forget after the success of Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil 4 (GC), they've announced two Resident Evil movies, the fourth one announced before the third one even started filming. The third one starts filming next year in March, and is titled "Resident Evil: Afterlife" and is about mutated zombies in Nevada (?), although the movie is filmed in Austrailia. Criky! Excited? Not yet, mate.

Is the 'Leo playing Teddy' news really that bad? Sorry about being the bearer of bad news, but I didn't think it was a sign of the Apocalypse. If anything, I thought you guys would complain about the Ashlee movie more than anything.

Yeah, this I agree with. They need a Venom movie... bad. But knowing how the quality of super hero are these days, the movie will probably suck. But it will be fresh to def though. I actually heard a rumor that Venom and Carnage were to be in Spider-Man 3 but that was a while ago. And I also heard that (God I hope this isn't true) but The Rock was to play one of those characters...

Also about Superman, yeah the Godfather is gonna be in it, from never before seen clips from the first Superman movie and Kate Bosworth (Blue Crush) is Lois Lane. She's no Teri Hatcher but we're just gonna have to wait and see.

I missed the part where we all had to care she was talentless and lip synced.

Look music is just a product, thats all. It shouldn't deeply offend you if that becomes apparent..hell, enough of the stuff people actually preform is dreck, why should a lip sync be any different?

Also the leo as teddy think...I'm somehow distantly related to teddy roosevelt (thats the main perk of being vaguely related to FDR) so it's kind of irritating.

I thought the director or writer or whoever had explicitly stated they didn't like venom (heresy, I know) and didn't want to use him. Which would mean no Carnage...Carnage was kind of lame anyway.

They both make sense. In the original comics Eddie Brock has kind of a bodybuilding addiction prior to merging with the symbiote, as some kind of compensation for being outdone in the field of journalism so often. And the other one makes sense too, since I think in ultimate spiderman eddie brock is kind of a...wiry kid before being merged with venom. But I've never read any of the ultimate spiderman comics.

Assuming they even go that route, I doubt it'll be the same thing...unless they want to make a movie involving that weird interplanetary war deal where Spider Man gets the symbiote costume then eventually rejects it.

Sam Raimi is going to be lynched by angry fans for the lack of Venom. I mean its a giant twisted black version of spiderman made of an amorphous alien substance with big teeth. And a giant tounge. I mean..sure it would scare the little kids and give rise to a generation of mentally unstable(er?) people. But hey, its all for the kids.

In short, I dont care if they make Campbell Venom. All that matters is the big guy in his full gooey glory on the silver screen.

So ol' boy Topher Grace is Venom and Eddie Brock, huh? I knew he was going to be in the movie and he even dyed his hair for it but I didn't think he was going to be Venom. Topher and Tobey look strangely alike and I thought that Topher would play Spider-Man's clone, the Scarlet Spider and bring up the whole Clone Wars.

Also, Thomas Haden Church (Sideways) is in the movie too. Does anybody know anything about him in the movie?

In other stuff, Kevin Spacey is Lex Luthor in Superman Returns, Omega Red might be in X-Men 3 (that's just wrong. Have Omega Red but leave out Gambit. WTF?!), I heard rumors that a number of people, ranging from Sean Penn to Justin Timberlake, are going to be the newest installment of the Joker in the Batman movie and I heard Sandra Bullock (I THINK) is Wonder Woman.

The production designer for the spider-man movies is a personal friend of mine....he's worked on almost all of raimi's movies over the years...aka....he's high up on the hierarchy.

Raimi is a great friend of his and he hasnt even seen a script for the new spider-man 3 yet so its very tight lipped at the moment. as soon as i get some information on it i'll try to share.

Oh man, why would I not want more Ben Affleck and that one chick from electra? They're my favorite actors! Especially in Gigli!

Speaking on the Daredevil piece, I heard that Ben Affleck wouldn't be in the Daredevil sequel, mostly because well... he sucked in the role. I don't know who's going to play the Daredevil part but I know its not Mr. Jennifer Garner.

I don't know about Kate Bosworth...I always pictured Lois being played by someone...how shall I phrase this...feistier! Well I guess Kate is an actress and might be able to play Lois Lane well but I don't know I'm just not feeling it. Yes, Terri Hatcher is the ideal modern day Lois.

I'm not to fond of ol' boy Topher being Venom myself since he seems to look and act a lot like Tobey.

I gotta agree with you there, Gummibear. I not to keen on Kate Bosworth for the role of Lois Lane myself but hell, if she looks as good as taking interviews as she did surfing, then more power to her.

interesting news, good thread I do say. and I for one hope there is never a rush hour 3 or any movie with chris tucker for that matter. also X prime has good taste in FF music.
