It seems like they're building the turning of Osborune from Parker's best pal into his arch-nemesis, and the eventual fight, up to be pretty large, large enough for its own movie.

That's a good notion, since there are pushing for six movies for the franchise. But with him losing his powers for a minute in the second movie, I was hoping that they would push the "Spider-Mutation" angle where Peter first gets six arms and then transforms into the Man-Spider.

But, the Venom and symbiote angle rights just fine for me. Pleased
Peace.

The Ultimate Venom course seems the most logical. It take a bit more work then just backflashing to some alien war or meteorite thing, but it look cool.

Spidy just got his black outfit:

Forgive me if it's been posted already.

In the second movie, didn't they briefly mention Jameson's son being an astronaut? Or...I think space was somehow vaguely involved with something.

So...maybe it hitches a ride on a shuttle's return flight?

Yeah, that's how it goes in the old '90 cartoon series. John Jameson and his crew return from a space mission, crash into the Hudson River, Spidey saves them, and gets the symbiote stuck on his costume.

And the rest they say, is history. Pleased
Peace.

If you look at the poster in Spider Man's eye, you can see something. I don't know what, but it's something.

Also, pictures are on AICN as to what venom looks like.

And last but not least, I read a script review of the movie from a reliable source on AICN and learned the following (MAJOR SPOILERS DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT THE MOVIE SPOILED):

spoiler (highlight to read):
-Harry Osborne, Sandman and Venom are villains, with Sandman being the main villain
-There is a showdown with Spidey and Harry/GG2 teaming together against Venom and Sandman
-The symbiote suit comes from an astroid, which clings on to Peter Parker's shoe when he's Spider Man which he doesn't realize. He supposedly goes to sleep and wakes up hanging upside-down off a building with the suit on.
-Aunt May and Harry Osborne die, LOL
-Eddie Brock supposedly ditches the suit at the end of the movie, but there's a cliffhanger with the suit still being alive
-The black symbiote suit is worn more than the Red/Blue suit by Parker during the film

Don't say I didn't warn you.

CT, that's just amazing.

Yeah, when I first saw the black Spidey poster, I saw something in his eyes too. I have no idea what the hell it is because its so small but there is something there.

spoiler (highlight to read):
Damn, Harry and Aunt May die?! Who in the world kills Aunt May? I gotta know. Also, I like the tag team match they got set up at the end like that. Why does Brock ditch the Venom symbiote? Will it go back and take him again or does it get another host? Why the hell is Sandman the main villain? I just never really gave a damn about him, I like Hydro-Man himself. And wearing the black suit more than the traditional is a nice touch.

The third movie sound fresh and I'm hoping for the Man-Spider/Black Cat/Lizard/Carnage/Scarlet Spider angle somewhere in the new future.

Thanks, CT.

Here a new movie with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Clifton Collins Jr. about two corrupt cops in... (where else?)... Los Angeles. It's called Dirty and it sound pretty fresh, much like how Crash was.

Also, you MUST read this review for 'Running Scared'.
Peace.

That was a badass fake teaser.

Sony apparently asked them to remove the main picture they had.

Oh wells.

I only scrolled over it enough to make out the word "symbiote"

Basically..just enough to make this sound really awesome.

Some small news today;

The Juggernaut in X-Men 3: The Last Stand.

And it not exactly Titanic, but here's some info on Wolfgang Peterson's disater ship epic, Poseidon.

Don't know who's going to go down at the Oscars this Sunday. MSN.com gots you covered.
Peace.

Will Jon Stewart cause Sean Penn to make an idiot out of himself, as Chris Rock did at last years awards, is my question.
Travis Bickle 02-28-2006 08:21 PM
If there were to be a touching movie about Lesbians made by an amazing director, it would never be nominated for an Oscar. It would probably end up going directly to Showtime, and nobody would watch it because it'll most likely star two butches talking about sisterhood, bonding and crap like that for two hours.

Who Should Win: As great as both "Good Night, and Good Luck." and "Capote" are, "Brokeback Mountain" is the superior film of the five nominees.

LOL.

Honestly, do they even know what they are talking about? Or are they too afraid of being accused of gay-bashing if they don't say Brokeback Mountain is the best? Roll Eyes
Mike 02-28-2006 08:39 PM
Poseidon isn't out yet? I saw a commercial for it like a year ago...saying that it would be a miniseries on NBC...

Also anyway yeah, I kind of hope Brokeback To the Future...Brokebob Squarepants...Brokeback Mountain doesn't win. Just because it's like 80 hours long. And "Good Night, and Good Luck" looked really, really awesome.
Travis Bickle 02-28-2006 08:43 PM
Crash > Good Night and Good Luck > Capote > Brokeback Mountain

In my opinion.`

What do YOU think?

My faith in humanity would go up massively if by some act of God and Lucifer teaming up Brokeback doesn't win. But it will and therefore give me an even better rationale for a new world order... because it's 'revolutionary' due to it having a prominent gay relationship in it and so on.
Gummibear 03-01-2006 06:46 AM
I actually I'm pulling for Crash to win (Crash has got to be the finest film I've seen in a while)...but since it's up against Brokeback Mountain I doubt it'll win. Not to imply that Brokeback is a bad film, to the contrary but I got more out of Crash.

...The movie, not the new world order, right?

edit: My prediction for next year?

Snakes on a plane. Sure, sure, brokeback mountain "challenged social norms". But is there any social norm more unquestioned up until now than snakes not being on an airplane?

That's what I personally think myself. I thought that Crash was the best film of 2005 and I'm rooting for that one to win. But Brokeback Mountain will probably get it, but I think Crash deserves it more.

I got Crash winning Best Picture, Philip Seymour Hoffman winning Best Actor, Reese Witherspoon winning Best Actress, Paul Giamatti winning Best S. Actor, Michelle Williams winning Best S. Actress (this will probably, and hopefully, go to Rachel Weisz but with the national Brokeback craze going on, I think this is a sure thing), and Ang Lee winning Best Director.

Hell, at least Crash will win Best Editing.
Peace.
