Damn, I thought 50 got the memo after he did that crapheap of his own movie. Oh well...
|
...Thats somewhat odd. Considering this:

| wikipedia In 2005, Jackson publically turned down an offer to co-star in rapper 50 Cent's acting debut [1], citing that he did not want to lend credence to an unproven actor. Film critic Roger Ebert wrote of Jackson's decision: "Like Bill Cosby, Jackson is arguing against the anti-intellectual message that success for young black males is better sought in the worlds of rap and sports than in the classroom" [2]. |
Unless he considers that 50 cent has now "proven" himself.

Yeah I dont know how I feel about that. On the one hand he sort of looks the part (he's bald). On the other...the games were never about 47 being a one-man army. Yes he's got superhuman...everything almost, and is more than capable of taking out a whole group of people, but it'd be nice if they at least tried to include the fact 47 does his job (ideally) in complete darkness and reveals himself only if its vitally necessary.

Oh wait...
Then theres this...which...
I dont know if this is really happening, or if the people behind the razzies are just having an incredibly lucid dream.

Everything's kind of being all quiet on the movie front, but here's some new news:
Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe are going to be in a movie directed by Ridley Scott.
And Marvel is talking about getting a Captain America movie out by 2009.
Producer Ari Arad talks about it here and here's
another interesting article here as well.
There's also this article about the upcoming Oscars (three weeks, kids!) about how the Academy deals with certain topics in movies (such as pornography and gay issues) among the
"red and blue states".

What the hell is this?! I seriously hope this is a joke. Mother Teresa must be rolling in her grave.

"Proven" himself how? It's not like he was any good in the movie, or that the movie was good in general.
Peace.

Oh. No. I was just saying the idea of a "dark take on Alice in Wonderland" isn't a new idea really.

Alrighty. just with the way the movie industry acts now a days, it wouldn't be surprising if they did. Speaking of Uwe Boll, Alone in the dark is a riot. How he got a monster that looked like one of the Aliens from the aliens movies, from a game with zombie is anyone's guess. Also speaking of Aliens I heard that they are making a movie of of Whitley Stribers book "The Greys", I'm actually looking forward to that one.

I've never seen "Communion", but I'm pretty sure it's about Christopher Walken fighting aliens.

And even if its not, and I see it, I'll force myself to believe thats what its about. Since I like the sound of that premise. |
lol, Christopher Walken battling aliens does sound like a great movie. but it's based on his book.

There's new news on the James Bond movie "
Casino Royale". They got their villain and their closing in on their Bond girl, either between Eva Green (from Kingdom of Heaven) or Olivia Wilde (I don't know her really).
Also,
here's a new movie with Paul Giamatti about a girl playing video games and gets transported in New York in the year 1933, where Hungarian scientists are developing the H-Bomb.
Peace.

You'll have to forgive me, but that does sound like the title of a softcore Cinemax b-movie.

Forgive you?! Damn man, I'm thanking you. I just wish I came up with it first. Nice line, Sharpie.
Oh, and here are some V For Vendetta pictures. Enjoy, kids!
I was browsing through one of my basketball websites and
I found this picture of the supposedly "another" Lara Croft. She's no Angelina Jolie but... I'm going to stop right there.
Peace.

Thanks for the lookout and the url fix, Zaphod.
Anyway, some fans are
PISSED OFF at Daniel Craig for landing the role of James Bond. So pissed that there's a website called
www.craignotbond.com to protest and boycott the new movie Casino Royale. Check it out to see how some fans are shaken and stirred about the whole damn thing.
Peace.

Black "secret wars" (or whatever, I...didn't really read alot of the comics) Costume=Symbiote=Definately venom in this or the next movie.
I'm thinking the next one. This one could explain the "why" of the symbiote, introduce the character of eddie brock, and end with spidey rejecting the symbiote/the symbiote finding brock. And then we're set for Venom in Spider-Man 4. Unless they're going to try and have two villains running around which hasn't really been the formula so far. Especially since they're going for the villains having some kind of effect on Peter Parkers life/relationships/general outlook on things. So I'd assume it'll continue with the one villain per movie thing.
I get that this theoretical sequence of events probably nullifies like...half the backstory in the comics. But again I'm not really up on that.

That a good point, Sharpie. That would explain the black suit and Topher Grace is playing Eddie Brock/Venom. Yeah, there is going to be another villain in the movie, played by Thomas Haden Church (Sideways) as the Sandman. And then there's still Harry Osbourne, who might be either the new Green Goblin OR the Hobgoblin.
Also, Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard) is going to be in the movie, sparking a love triangle with Peter and Mary Jane. So, all in all, there's going to be a lot of good sh*t in this movie.

Assuming it's anything like 2 was (and yeah alot of this is assuming theres some "formula") I think he'll sort of remain in the background. They'll keep setting up the eventual run-in between spider-man and hobgoblin/green goblin 2.
It seems like they're building the turning of Osborune from Parker's best pal into his arch-nemesis, and the eventual fight, up to be pretty large, large enough for its own movie.

The Secret Wars involved both aliens and every popular marvel charachter. That means Green Goblin, Daredevil, Doc Ock, Iron Man, Hulk, etc. Since they're not going to do that (liscencing, mo fugga), they have to figure some unique way to have him get the suit, which he gets on the alien planet at the end of the Secret Wars. So yeah. This is going to be creative.
