This is pretty clearly the product of a cabal of wholly repulsive people

You do not remake rear window, especially if it looks like the trailer for this does...I mean...you don't do it but you especially do not do it and make it this. I will accept no excuse, absolutely none.

I just saw the commercial for this when I was getting something to eat and I almost threw up. If its as worse as that godawful Psycho remake, then I feel for one of my favorite directors in Alfred Hitchcock as he's rolling in his grave.

It could be worse though. It could be Vertigo... No wait, DON'T GET ANY GODDAMNED IDEAS!

- Jake Gyllenhaal is NOT Captain Marvel. There needs to be a script first.

- News on the Superman sequel, with an indication that everyone... including Kate Bosworth will be back after Bryan Singer does a World War II piece.

- Watchmen and Sin City 2.

- 2012: A Mayan Odyssey... that's not the name of the movie (even though it should be) but its called '2012' and it involves the Mayans, so yeah.
Peace.

....They're bringing The Spirit to film?

Confused

That was just a shot by shot remake, except in color to make it more "accessible", whatever the hell that means.

This is about some guy with a home arrest ankle bracelet spying on people from his yard.

....It's sort of hard to pick which ones worse, but yeah its probably the latter

If people are too stupid to appreciate a great black and white film, they do not deserve to have it hacked to bits in color just to pander to their lack of taste.
Sharpshooter005 03-20-2007 02:35 PM
Do they themselves deserve to be hacked to bits since...usually that is sort of a faux pas but can I get some kind of wavier for whoever wrote this. Please? This can count as my christmas and birthday presents, I've been ever so good this year.

This is absymal on all fronts, even for a remake.

The Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End trailer.

The Green Hornet has been picked up for an adapation piece.
Peace.

XD

Well, as one of the 4 people who enjoyed DMC, I'm semi-looking forward to this movie; I've got this feeling its going to go all Revolutions and screw up the second one, too.

Money, I demand a list of names of the other three people who liked the movie along with you. Also, with personal information if possible. Since you work at a government job, I don't think this will be too difficult to conjure up and supply me with. I need things such as social security numbers, dates of births, mother's maiden names, etc, etc. I will get them with extreme prejudice and offer you protection and immunity as a result...

...savvy?

- Update on the Wonder Woman adapation.

- How many Batmobiles does The Dark Knight sequel need? Simple, ten of them.

- More watching on the Watchmen, and a revelation on who was under the Rorschach mask in the 300 trailer.

- Some news and ideas for the Wolverine spinoff.

- More news about yet another project Martin Scorsese is involved in, with Leonardo DiCaprio playing The Wolf of Wall Street.

- Rose McGowan in the biopic of the Black Oasis, as Susan Cabot.

- More about Speed Racer... oh, and this guy is playing him.
Peace.

Bi-la kaifa.

That... looks cool and yet pisses me off at the same time and I don't know why. Where's that from by the way?

- There's talk of Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas being in Sin City 2.

- Some info on the cast for Indiana Jones 4.

- At first, I thought this said "Forest Whitaker joins Watchmen". But alas, damn it. Alas.

- Paul W.S. Anderson is out of the Castlevania adaptation.

- DiCaprio and Winslet don't call it a comeback.

- Another project set up for Steven Spielberg, Interstellar.
Peace.

Has any one heard anything about the Ghost in the Shell movie lately.

GO GO FEARCH SUNCTION!

Not much news today, but DreamWorks picks up Master Mind.

This must be like "Screw with Alfred Hitchcock" month because here's something else... and no, its not a remake but a documentary about the Psycho film and the bootlegs that came after it.

Spider-Man 3 is set to debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

Photos of 28 Weeks Later.

Susan Sarandon and John Goodman are Speed Racer's parents... yeah, you read that rite.
Peace.

No, its Harold Perrineau. But they do look somewhat similar, yeah.

Why does he look like the black ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers?

Eh, not terribly much new as opposed to the trailer (though yeah that guy DOES look like chris rock, facial hair and all)

I've still got my concerns as I voiced in the trailer thread but I'm willing to hold out hope...frankly I don't know exactly what sort of sway a producer holds over a movie, but I figure if the writer and director of 28 days are producers for this, and have sway, they could do well with it.

GO GO FEARCH SUNCTION!

I know I mentioned this before and so did Mistress in Ailesberry Farm but I just read an article about it in Empire Magazine, confirming one of my worst fears. I know I've before that I wanted to do an adaptation of Ghost in the Shell, but this really hurts for my chances at my own film in the future (it was going to be my Francis Ford Coppola film, like the live action anime version of The Godfather and Apocalypse Now). Hell, as long as they don't touch the Stand Alone Complex series or the SAC manga series, I should be straight but still. They better not f*** it up is all I'm saying... or maybe they should for my own benefit. Heh. Anyway...

- Sin City might make its way to a television series soon enough.

- Laura Dern is coming back to Jurassic Park in the fourth film of the franchise.

- Might be considered for Wonder Woman. Even though there's no director and writer, there's one thing that's certain. She is fine.
Peace.
Inigo Montoya 04-06-2007 10:21 PM
Damn, Nahne, you were right about the woman who could possibly play Wonder Woman. She is fine.

I'd let her lasso me any day, [wolf howl] and I don't mean for fighting crime. Also, isn't there any further news on the rumored Halo movie supposedly in the works? I looked everywhere, no info I can find.
War.

I'll fly her invisible jet... if you know what I mean. Lol, lol, lol.

Also last I heard, the Halo adaptation was going to be produced by Peter Jackson but he dropped that because of the New Line legal issue and right now, the project is like in development hell.
Peace.
