Agreed, Blue Crow. I really despise Vince Vaughn and it sucks with him in the movie, let alone playing Racer X but yeah this is looking like to be a parody. And if Stiller does play Speed Racer, this will give me the long-awaited reason for me to finally kill him.
Actually, while were on the topic, isn't there a movie out right now (or coming out soon) with Vince Vaughn involving race car driving?

| Gee maybe we can cast Owen Wilson as Speed. |
Good God, hell no.
Anyway, on to some news;
here's an article with the new Bond girls in the upcoming "Casino Royale" movie. Eva Green (from Kingdom of Heaven) is playing as Vesper Lynd, the first Bond girl (as far as the books go and Casino Royale was a good book).
More James Cameron news as he talks about his upcoming film,
AVATAR.
Paul W.S. Anderson talks about two new projects of his;
Death Race 3000 and Castlevania.
And who might play the
Silver Surfer in the FF sequel (there saying that the title might be "Fantastic Four and The Silver Surfer" Maybe.)? Well, according to this, nobody that's who.
Peace.

I've know about Castlevania for awhile and with Anderson at the helm, it's bound to suck.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. Him and Owen Wilson need to be beaten then shot.

I forgot another thing;
If anybody is interested, here an article about the
Emmys who recently announced their nominations as well as a complete list of all categories for the Emmy nominations.

I hear that and neither do I. But also in response to this,
there is this link where Iron Man director Jon Favreau talks about Iron Man at the Comic-Con and who the villain in the movie with be.

It's going to be him.

I didn't think it was a bad commercial by any means. But maybe that's because I'm in no way shape or form familar with his work (he hasn't been nominated for an Oscar has he? I wouldn't think he would be but if he has, then I definetly would have known him then). But...
FRANCOIS!
Why am I putting my hat on? It feels fake.

So, that's the word. Terrence Howard has been offered the role of James Rhodes in the IRON MAN film. No guarantee he'll take it, but I think Howard is one of the most interesting actors working in the business today and his presence in the film will only make it better. Especially if we get to see Howard don a super suit in this film (or sequels) and kick some ass.
We'll have to see how this one turns out. Stay tuned. |
Terrence Howard as War Machine?
Hell yes. I hope this pans out and all we need a good quality actor like Howard to play Iron Man.
Peace.

I've been tossing the idea of stickying this for a while and finally I give in, since it is PCF's movie source.
Thanks for offering this thread and posting updates on movies!

Oh... WOW. That's messed up and with that track record, he probably got closer to the Raspberries then he did with the Oscar's red carpet.
Speaking of Alien vs. Predator...
Co-creator of the V for Vendetta graphic novel, David Lloyd, has an interview here.
And a lil' somethin'-somethin' on
Clint Eastwood's new picture coming out October 20th.

Um, I haven't been up here in a while but here's some movie news;
- I heard a while back that Paul Giamatti has signed on to do a Philip K. Dick biopic.
- The suits at Warner Bros. are looking at 2009 for
the Superman sequel.
- And some news regarding the FF sequel, which is now known as
"Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer".
Peace.

There hasn't been much news that I've cared about to post up here but here's a little somethin'-somethin' so interesting that comes from across the pond.

| A British television network plans to broadcast a dramatic, documentary-style film about a fictional assassination of U.S. President George W. Bush, the network's head said Thursday. |
It's called "
Death of a President" and you check out an article on the link.

I heard about this on the news this morning.
But I love how the British love us.
Anyone hear of that Confederate States of America documentary thing some brits did a while back?

While I'm not a Bush fan, that is a rather lame idea for a film.

Before he passed away, Christopher Reeve and his wife Dana were working on a film that Reeve (Chris) was directing called
"Everyone's Hero" starring William H. Macy, Whoppi Goldberg, Robin Williams, and Rob Reiner.
MGM announced that they are planning some sequels in the future (
yes, I know... bastards.) such as a Legal Blonde 3 without the original star and for some God-forsaken reason, Into the Blue 2.
Here's a lil' somethin'-somethin' on a documentary called
"The US vs. John Lennon" , taking a look at how Lennon protested against the Vietnam War.
Maggie Gyllenhaal (ha! I spelled it right even if I had help) is blonde. And also the new standard of recovered drug addicts looking to make amends with their kid
She might be seriously considered for the new
Wonder Woman role.
Also, one more thing and I read this in a magazine the other day; I read that the filmmakers of the Fantastic Four sequel (stop laughing for a minute) were looking to get Keanu Reeves to play Norrin Radd and ultimately, the Silver Surfer.
The Surfer is one of my favorite Marvel characters. I don't consider Reeves a real actor. But I would have no problem if they did this, in fact I think he fits the role nicely. But seriously, with the Surfer (and Galactus as well I believe), the FF can't suck more than last time...
...Right?
Peace.
