Thanks for the news, CT. And yeah, that is pretty damn cool to see the Iron Man film get some head way.

That's just wrong. Tony Stark would completely whip Tom Cruise anytime and this is probably another reason in the "Reasons why Tom Cruise Should Die" thread.
Also, has anyone thought of a
Batman/Superman confrontation? Wolfgang Petersen has. World's Finest, stand up!
Peace.

Old news. Petersen started the project, and it was greenlit, but then it was shelved and eventually cancelled. It's not going to happen.

Yeah, I know its a little old but this popped up and it seems like he's trying to go about it again. But still, that would be a pretty enjoyable film to see nonetheless.
Peace.

Some Star Wars news: ol' boy Lucas and producer Rick McCallum are starting up a live action Star Wars TV series. And here's a little quote:
quote:
"That missing 20-year period when Luke is growing up... Think bounty hunter. That's all I can tell you. There's nobody else that you'll know [in it]."
Also, they talk about 3D versions of the Star Wars movies and the Clone Wars cartoon series.
Sir Ian McKellen talks about the X-Men Movie the Third (
May 26, kids!) and talks about the Magento prequel in this interview piece.
Edward Norton doesn't call it a comeback in his first movie in a while,
Down in the Valley, where it sounds like a Midnight Cowboy type deal. And fun for me (no, it isn't), Evan Rachel Wood plays a girl named "Tobe".
At least the way that my name is spelled is cooler... much cooler.
EDIT: And here's a little somethin'-somethin' on the Wonder Woman film...
quote:
"It's sort of shifting under me," says Whedon. "I'm doing more rewriting on this than I am used to. Finding her was fun, and finding the structure of the film was incredibly difficult and fun. I am not bringing in any villains that anyone knows. I will not be bringing in any of the rogues gallery from the comic book. The villain is original to the film."
Peace.

... I'll wait to pass judgement when I see it.
Read: SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Oh...I swear to effing God...if they make Boba Fett into a whiny teenager full of angst and problems, I *WILL* beat George Lucas with a rusty iron rod until his beard falls out.
Then again, since the Fett man is basically a bad guy, he may be just one minor character in it. I heard some speculation that it will be about the early days of the Rebellion.

It should just be Fett, with maybe one or two lines an episode, going around and killing stuff.
So, Samurai Jack a la Star Wars. But with a bad guy as the lead...

The Samurai Jack people did a good job with the Clone Wars, perchance Lucas Arts will go back to them, and give them some creative control. If so, that's almost close to plausible.

Holy smivnar...
FINALLY! A New Hope that can be played in my DVD player!
It already is on DVD. This is just the GOOD one where Greedo doesn't shoot. Which...honestly that was my only complaint with the special edition. That and the new material makes the old stuff look REALLY cheezy.
But we can have the original Yub Yub ending of ROTJ. And it's worth having it just to get rid of the annoying Jabba's Palace musical number.
Edit: oh, ok. I just close my eyes at that part.

That's what I was referencing...
Maybe it wasn't popular here, but when the "Special" Edition came out, I was surrounded by "Greedo shoots first? Not in MY DVD player!"
I was inclined to agree.

I kind of liked the greedo shooting first thing, because it gave me a really flimsy pretext for not buying the dvds (the real reason being I'm just cheap)
Still, good to see thats finally over.

Nice find, Mike and yeah, its about damn time. I'd love to see A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back with this new DVD and I just thought of this; I haven't seen Return of the Jedi in a very long time. Hell, I barely remember it. Damn shame.
Good news, everybody! Fantastic Four 2 might not suck as hard as the first movie if it has...
THE SILVER SURFER!
Peace.

We already have that...it's called 24 and it works fine as is.
