Mazinger Z/Mazinkaiser fans out there?

Am I the only fan of probably THE best giant robot anime ever? If their are fans here,then please, dialogue with me on this fabulous show.

I am a Mazinger Z fan. And so is Umino.

I have the OVA, Mazinkaiser. I have the first two volumes of the Mazinger Z manga. I really want to see the TV series, but the Japanese DVDs are expensive as hell. Plus, no one seems to be subbing it.

One of Go Nagai's best works in doubt. It's a shame it wasn't a hit in the US like it was all over the world. America needs more Go Nagai series! mainly cutie honey and devilman

Yep. He did alot of stuff in the 70's (and he does alot of stuff now too).

I'll drink to that. One of my friends is a big Devilman fan, we often get into the most nerdiest of arguments of who'll win in a fight between Devilman and Mazinkaiser.

Well.. you do know they teamed up in a movie right?

I've only seen two episodes of Mazinkaiser, but it is definately one of the craziest animes I have ever seen. I really want to see more of it, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere .

Being a fan of Banpresto's Super Robot Wars videogame series, I'm also a fan of it's holy trinity, Mazinger Z included. I actually bought the Japanese DVDs on ebay, and was pleasently surprised to see that the english subtitles are are perfectly readable, even if full of mistakes.

Fun Fact: Mazinger Z is the first known instance of a human piloting a giant robot like a car. (Which is where he got the idea.) The other robots before that were either controlled like R/C cars, (Gigantor) or self sentient androids. (Astro Boy)

Dynamic Pro is making ANOTHER Mazinkaiser OVA called Mazinkaiser Vs. Cutie Honey! There isn't much information out yet, but promotion art is already out! This looks awesome, I hope ADV brings it over here.

I just finished watching the Mazinkaiser vs. Ankoku Daishogun, and now I have more Mazinkaiser to look forward too! It already looks like a good one.
