In episode 17(Leviathan) Big O fires a sort of laser burst from his crest.
Is this his standard eye laser, is it a fast chrome buster, or is it seperate entirely?
Maybe I think to much but I was just wondering because it seems to act differently than the standard.

I'm going on memory here, but do you mean the part when Big O asplodes the Leviathan's face?
I'd say that it's a chromebuster, but there was no charge. But despite that, I still go with
Chromebuster. Maybe since he didn't charge it was a weak mini blast thing

I'm not sure about the exact scene you're talking about... but I assume anything that comes out of the orange/red crystal on his head is a chromebuster shot.
Althought it doesn't seem as though he always needs to charge it before using it.

Hmm, that's a good question. I'd say it’s probably the eye lasers, but I don't see any separation between the beam suggesting that.
I suppose it
could be a short fired chromebuster, but the chromebuster would have taken a moment to charge, even for a short blast I think.
Judging from these screenshots of it dissipating, I'd go with a short fired chromebuster, just be because the eye lasers don't have that affect.
Also, I can't really place the sound heard when it's fired, doesn't sound like the eye lasers, but not exactly what you'd hear with the chrombuster....then again one can argue that the chromebuster SFX was different in season 2 (as was many other SFX), most notably is the difference when you compare
Act 13's sound with
Act 14's.
*click the links to download mp3's of the chromebuster sound from each Act to compare for yourself!*
I hope that was detailed enough.
Here's another interesting question about Act 17, we don't see the "Cast in the name of God" screen when Roger enters Big O. He just jumps in, talks to Dorothy, and then goes "Action!". No "cast" screen whatsoever.
Oh, and there's one more never really answered question about where in the hell does Norman go? He gets fed up with not being able to communicate with Roger, and slides down a secret passage in the kitchen. Where'd he go? Did
he activate Big O? And did
it then travel on its own to where Dorothy was? Or did something similar to Act 13 occur? Roger doesn't seem to question Big O already being there, so......
So many damned questions out of just one act!
