Episode writers

I got on IMdB and saw that the following people were credited with writing Big O:

Masanao Akahoshi

Kei'ichi Hasegawa writer (as Keiichi Hasegawa)

Chiaki Konaka

Hajime Yatate

Shin Yoshida

I tried to look, but I couldn't figure out on that page (or this one) who was actually responsible for writing each individual episode. Does anyone know who wrote what? Or maybe there is a string already about this that I couldn't find. In any case, if you could help me out you will have my thanks.

If I'm remembering correctly, I heard that the name "Hajime Yatate" is a pen name for a sort of think-tank of writers. It's like an anonymous name for a writer(s) for Bandai/Sunrise. I've seen the name on other titles such as various Gundam series and Cowboy Bebop.

Well, Chiaki J. Konaka was the head writer, so he was probably at least involved a bit with most episodes.

Hajime Yatate isn't a real person but rather a group pseudonym that's been used by Sunrise since the days of the original Mobile Suit Gundam, almost 30 years ago now. Essentially, he stands for all the writers in this case.

I have no idea about the others.

That's cool, and I appreciate the help that you guys have given thus far. I'm still wondering if there is some site that shows you who was the writer for each episode. I swear I saw this at one point, but I have no idea where. If anyone else knows what I am talking about, that would be awesome.

Actually, I started working on this as well yesterday, but didn't have time to post it. I have a few small corrections to make to your list (mostly name romanizations):

Act 1: Chiaki Konaka
Act 2: Chiaki Konaka
Act 3: Chiaki Konaka
Act 4: Chiaki Konaka
Act 5: Keiichi Hasegawa
Act 6: Masanao Akaboshi
Act 7: Chiaki Konaka
Act 8: Keiichi Hasegawa
Act 9: Shin Yoshida
Act 10: Keiichi Hasegawa
Act 11: Shin Yoshida
Act 12: Masanao Akaboshi
Act 13: Keiichi Hasegawa
Act 14 - 26: Chiaki Konaka

That makes a little more since because the head writer was Chiaka Konaka and in the first list he did hardly any episodes.

This is awesome. Thank you both so much!
