The best movie EVER. This is a beautiful opera. The soundtrack is AWESOME. The plot is wonderful. The characters are well some of the best I've seen. This movei is one of Matsumoto's greatest works. This is a must watch for anyone.

Arcadia of My Youth! Old-timey Matsumoto fun, man. It's freakin' awesome. The best part is, inarguably, Harlock and Tochiro. Man, I love those guys! They're quite possibly the best buddy team in all of anime.
I mean, Harlock is so freakin' hot and Tochiro is so freakin' adorable... It hurts my brain just thinking about it.
But seriously.
Arcadia of My Youth may be over twenty years old, but it still is a very excellent movie, nonetheless. Kids these days may think that anime is only good when it's less than five years old, but I say, "Bah!" to that. Matsumoto kicks some serious bee-hind with this movie, and I, too, recommend checking it out.
