I have a question though... Did they just recently remake this as uncut? I would have thought they already sold it that way, so why not use those versions?

television censorship laws were recently changed (like months ago but whatever) involvint timeslots and stuff like that sombody els on the forum probably knows more bout it than i do

I don't really understand the question. Do you mean did they just redub these episodes? Then, yes. Before they didn't have the rights to relase them uncut.

Noo.. I thought they already had the episodes released uncut on video a long time ago. My question is, if they were already uncut, why did they have to go back and redub all the voices again?

These episodes were never released uncut in the US until now. The first three movies were released uncut before though (with wonderful dubbing, original music) but Funimation is releasing them with crappier dubs, changing the script, and the music. Because when it comes to DBZ they're freaking idiots.

According to one of the mods at Toonzone, uncut Dragon Ball Z in'st gonna be uncut for long...

I'm really hoping this is false information. I loved Cartoon Network so much for letting so many things slide. Hopefully the 'two scenes' will be the only things edited. But still, it really pisses me off. Never trust Cartoon Network..

And, the 'two scenes' are most likely the naked Goku, and the Russian Roulette part. Since those were the only two scenes cut from the original Saban dub. I don't really under editing these scenes though, I mean the Russian Roulette scene is pretty bad. But we've already seen Goku getting a giant hole blown in his stomach, Gohan's weewee, and groping! And editing the nude scene is pretty pointless, since we've already seen all of Gohan, and Goku's shown up naked in EDITED Dragon Ball Z before. Looks like Bulma fans will miss out on some of the fanservice in a future episode.

The Saiyans have arrived! And unless Goku can stop them they will carve a path of destruction across Earth in their search for the Dragonballs!!!

Bah, Nappa's VA really sucks compaired to the original one they had. I was at least happy to see them blow up actually people this time when they destroyed that city. In the old dub, the buildings were apparently abandoned because it was Sunday....

Amen. In the old dub they said no one was hurt even though you see a crowd gathering around the spacepods. Funimation makes no sense.

I know that aren't too many Dragonball Z fans around here in the forums and I'm probably one of like nine people who can actually tolarate the show after the Freezer Saga but I got say, that I'm pretty disappointed with the whole "DBZ: Uncut" experiment CN is trying to pull off here. Don't get me wrong it's pretty funny and interesting to see what wasn't included in the edited version but when I watching an episode I really wanted to see in "Recoome Unleashed". I noticed a couple of things. One the music is now pathetic. In the editied version, there was at least catchy and enjoyable but now its just bad. Also, one thing that kept annoying is that some of the characters voices and attidutes have changed. I was watching the same episode and Recoome sounded like a dumba**. In the edited version, he was still goofy but still pretty knowledgeable and not awkward and nnot sounded like a complete moron.

I'm done ranting but I don't know. Maybe me but aside from the edited goreness that we're now seeing, I'm kind of getting annoyed with DBZ. Oh well, back to Big O...
