I don't know if any of you guys know this information. Some of you probably do already and some of the you don't. Therefore I'm gonna make this announcement anyway to make sure everyone knows for sure. On E-Bay, they are selling Big O Seasons 1 and 2 together in a Deluxe Edition Box DVD Set for around 20 bucks or less. They are also selling Season 1 and 2 soundtracks as well for pretty cheap. They are also selling mini-figures too. Like I said, lots of good stuff for those who are avid Big O fans but can't find a good source to collect Big O stuff. Good hunting my friends.

Thanks for posting that, it may be helpful to anyone looking for Big O merchandise. However, if you're looking on eBay, be careful that you don't end up with bootlegs, as these DVDs and soundtracks harm the companies that release the actual items and put money in the pockets of people who illegally copy them. For DVDs, watch out for anything with less than 4 discs per season, anything "region free," "all code," etc., and for anything that packages seasons 1 and 2 together (unless it mentions that they are two separate box sets). For soundtracks, it's a little more difficult to track down bootlegs, but watch out for anything selling for less than $20 or so. To be safe, ask the seller what the catalog number on the CD is, and if it does not start with VICL or VIDL, it's a bootleg. Unfortunately, most of the CDs and DVDs on eBay are bootlegs, so be careful what you bid on.

Thanks for the heads up. When I saw the boxed set together, it looked pretty official to me. Can someone else look up these items to double check. Sometimes, it better if two pairs of eyes look than one. I'm not kidding, if you look at the boxed sets, they look official. Anyway, please someone else check into this and see what they think.

The official box sets look like
this and
this, and contain four discs each. Anything that looks like
this or
this (notice the text in the bottom righthand corner) is a bootleg. There are no other official box sets other than the ones released in Japan (which do not look like the ones on eBay).

If you want to support the companies responsible for Big O, you can still buy the legitimate DVDs for cheap at places like
DeepDiscountDVD or
Overstock and replace the bootlegs with them. The legitimate DVDs also have better video and sound quality than the bootlegs, and they also have extras such as character sketches and interviews, so it is worth the extra money to buy them (in my opinion).

Hey Krang, is there any specific spot where people can find out about how to get Big O merchandise besides this thread?

Not that I know of, so your best bet would be this forum's search feature. Unfortunately, there isn't very much official Big O merchandise available at all. The only ones I know of are the DVDs, soundtracks, action figures, manga, art book, and pencilboard.

That's what I wanted to know, thank you. What I might do is create a thread specifically to list all known places of Big O merchandise. Good places that is. That way, people know where to look for stuff.

Here are some pictures of it. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any online stores that sell it, so you might need to look for it at anime cons or stores that sell anime merchandise.

Okay, boys and girls, I have started an official thread for places to find Big O merchandise, therefore I request a moderator delete this post as it is no longer needed.
[Edit: No problem, thread locked. --Krang]

Heh, beat me to it--I was going to lock it this evening myself.
