What would Big O have done?

Ace378 05-23-2005 10:16 PM
Well most of us have seen the last episode and as such there is one moment i want to pay particular attention to: the moment where big o was about to take on big venus but then roger stops big o. It just kind of strikes me as wierd because how exactly was big o planning on taking out venus?
Blue Crow 05-23-2005 10:24 PM
i don't think big o was trying to "take out" venus.
Captain Maw 05-24-2005 01:23 AM
yeah.. i guess that's Big O's way of saying holy s**t!!!
EDIT:
haha, the title of the thread could be put into a bracelet: WWB-OD. (what would Big-O Do?)

He was probably going to try just long range attacks. His thinking might have been, "Okay, everything she touches disappears, but that doesn't mean her armor is completely indestructable.."

umm...let's see...Big O and Roger did what they were going to do, plain and simple. Big O was never going to attack Big Venus...Roger and Big O knew what their role was in relation to Big Venus. They had no intention of fighting Big Venus or "taking it out."

perhaps he was going to attack her. I just thought when Big O lit up his eyes, he was probably asking "what shall we do Roger?"

I don't know. Big O has a mind of his own, and doesn't always do the obvious thing. Shutting down in the middle of a fight to make Roger save Dorothy is just one example. Another was when he killed R-D without anyone telling him to.

There's a theory that Big O remembers more about the previous cycles than Roger does. He has many of his most vivid hallucinations while inside Big O. But even these are fragmentary. Does Big O remember who Big Venus is?

When Dorothy says the line about "A bird whose wings have been plucked," she may have been repeating what Big O told her, or something that Big Venus herself broadcast, but that doesn't mean that Big O had any idea what the significance of the words were.

By the end of Roger's speech to Angel, Big O knew what to do. Did he know before? Perhaps not.

Personally I think in many ways Big O was not going to take down Big Venus if anything Dorothy was the one who even told Roger who that megaduse was. And second Big O was not out to seek and destroy instead Big O and Big Venus united to create a new. And Rger himself figured out that there was no need for a one on one macho battle with robots the best way to get Roger's point across to Angel the easyiest way was to do it thorugh talking by talking the two of them were able to figure out what to do a create something new.

This is a creative theory. I like it...but there's one problem here...it's how did Big O know what to tell Dorothy about Big Venus? I'm sorry...but there's no way Big O could know this. It's being speculated right now how is it that DOROTHY would know the riddle. That's the big question. I didn't know about Big O stopping for Roger to save Dorothy. That's an interesting development. I'll have to watch this episode more carefully to see this. About Big O killing R-D...I don't know if R-D is dead...remember, R-D was an android as well. We never see her remains after what happened in that episode. Roger can have Dorothy while Beck can have R-D...now there's your perfect couple.

Why not? Big Venus could have told him. He could have remembered it from last time. He could have always known it.

Actually, we do see part of her remains; the disk tray from her skull and the broken disk.

R-D isn't Beck's type. She acts a lot more like Alan Gabriel.
