OMG.

I admit I've only listened to The Mars Volta once, and it was on a bus ride when I was talking to a classmate of mine (mind you, he's all for peace, his hair is in dreads, he's never without a CD player, he's a responsible pot smoker) and he let me listen to the CD for the hour bus ride. I enjoyed the lyrical parts of the CD, but I began to tune it out when it went only to instrumentals. I'll pick up the CD again when I see it, I'm now interested if Frusciante's part of the band. (Q: He did work on their first album, right?)

He did a lot of guitar work on De-Loused, and did a bit more on FTM (some which he isn't credited for)

I find that statement funny, ironic, and somewhat reflective, for some inane reason >.> <.<

Frusciante I think shows up most in the songs Cicatriz and L'via.

Flea played all the bass on Deloused too. (And trumpets on Frances)

lol, I just believe he is. I've gone to his house and never once offered me the stuff, and even counciled me once against doing it when I was pressured to try it.

Frusciante, if I'm not mistaken, played guitar on some of Cassandra Gemini. This isn't really confirmed, but I heard it from Theory, the owner of the Comatorium (who I speak to from time to time).

Well I'm going to a Green Day concert on Sept. 16th, and I'm bringing my ex-girlfriend with me. Much of the fact is, I really want her to have a good time, because after the concert, I'm asking her out...again. I hope it works; wish me luck guys. Big Grin

I just went to Warped Tour, and even though im not a fan of the music it was still fun. The people were kinda weird in my opinion, but it was still a good time. If your into the emo scene then thats the place to be. Im going to Gigantour on August 23rd which will be awesome. Its in NYC, and Dream Theater and Megadeth will be there. Not a big Megadeth guy, but Symphony X will be there also.

A bunch of concerts I've been to have involved the 80s in one way or form. Crazy thing is, I had never been to a concert until I got into college. Here's what I've seen

Diamond Rio (got dragged to that one)
Blessed Union of Souls
"Weird Al" Yankovic (one of the best times I had; he even had the fat suit)
Duran Duran
Funker Vougt (I hope I'm spelling that right
Depeche Mode w/ Poe

After becoming a rent-a-cop, I had the dubious honor of working security at concerts in Universal and the Hard Rock Hotel. This included a few 80's has-been acts. Here's who I've seen while I worked:

Brian McKnight
Willie Nelson
Lovin' Spoonful
A Flock of Seagulls (God, they suck live!)
Missing Persons
Berlin

At one of the concerts at the Hard Rock, I saw Sammy Haggar and Uncle Kracker walking around. There's one coming up in a couple of weeks that I'm going to be working at. Foreigner is supposed to be playing that one. The week after that, I'm going to Tampa to see Depeche Mode w/ The Bravery.
