Definitely. I've taken my Gamecube on so many vacations. It doesn't take up too much room in my suitcase and it's durable enough to survive airport baggage handling systems.

Yea, Gamecube's portability comes in handy sometimes. I often have to move my game system around the house a lot so with gamecube it's very easy. The durability is also a good thing. My slim PS2 may be smaller, but it wouldn't survive very long if subjected to rough treatment of any kind.
If I do end up getting an X-Box then I'd have to find a good place to put it. I can't really transport the X-Box from TV to TV around the house on a regular basis, that thing is the size of a VCR. I'm probably still going to get one if I can find a good spot for it.
I used to have an N64 and that thing stood up to just about anything. It got thrown across the room, stuff got jammed in the connectors, bugs crawled into the vents and died in there, and it was put away in a drawer somewhere for almost 2 years collecting dust. After a long while we took it out of the basement, turned it on, and it actually still worked! We sold it a few months ago though.

The X-Box isnt all that heavy, I can hold it one handed.. but then again I'm not all that weak. oh and the n64 if why nintendo rocks so much. Durability. I have an old Nintendo Power that recounted the abuse of many gameboys, NES, and SNES consoles. Those things will last. I actually had a dream shortly afterward of me in some war with my old scratched up GBC in hand.

Yay! Gamecube wins! I knew it would though.
I still can't believe it survived that! I don't think I'd want to duplicate the experiment with my GC though...

most people that play gamecube love anime, I have noticed that much. people that play xbox are usually younger children because of games like Halo and games like that which don't require much skill. but for game cube and ps2, you need to be a true gamer at heart. which means you like in depth story lines and thats why youre prone to liking anime esp Big O

Actually after that video aired on G4, they specifically stated that they ran the dureability tests twice and the PS2 always broke first and the GC always ended up surviving (just so they don't piss off PS2 fanboys).
I thought it was pretty funny that the hammer made the Gamecube bounce all over and the Xbox just slid a little. I'm surprised, I thought the Xbox would have won. She didn't try to turn it on after the last test, though.
My GameCube is tough. I've dropped it a few times, and once it almost got hit by a flying chair.

She said in that test:
"Oh, XBOX. There's no way to turn you on. You lose!" *whacks repeatedly with stick*
