I'm gonna regret this

Is it my imagination, or is there a difference between Angel at the start of the series
And Angel at the end?
I realise I'm gonna sound like a total Ecchi saying this, but I think her b****t size has changed
Is Angel really that vain?

In the second season, all the characters look screwed up. Roger has pointy elf ears, Angel looks chubby, Dorothy looks human, and Dastun looks like a gorilla.
And in that shot (from the last episode) both Angel and Dorothy look odd to me. For one thing, the proportion looks a bit odd. Angel looks short and chubby, Dorothy just don'st look the same. I'm kinda wondering if the animators made them look so werid on purpose. (in the whole episode, Angel and Dorothy look perfect)

Oh definitely yes, I mean it is true during the series not only is she just wearing different clothes that are more reveling but it does appear that her breast size is a lot larger or smaller at different times. I mean it could just be that maybe she was wearing different types of bras or other form fitting outfits.
What I think really happens is that over time while during the production of a anime multiple artists draw these characters over and over again especially in season one when the first season was not all computer generated. Thus being that since it was drawn by hand I am sure that her breast sizes along with other things throughout the series are subject to change or be off and so on.
As for second season I am sure that since it was Computer Generated that well as for most fan boys a larger breast size is more attractive. (No I am not saying that breasts are all that fan boys or other fans think about but they can make a difference.) Thus again being CG I am sure they plugged in a certain number of pixels and then went with it.

It's just all you perverts out there. =P
Seriously, it's not like Angel's bust is really noticable. (Unless she decides to take off 60% of her clothes like in Act 007) From the pictures that Evan posted, there really in'st much of a difference. It's not like her breasts sticks out like Faye's or you-know-who's (

) giant sandbags.
Shoot, even Prima from Pokemon has a more memorable chest!
sorry if I sounded very pervy and vulgar.. >.>;

As perverted as this might sound (And indeed probably is), I think Angel's got her beat by a couple cup-sizes...

yeah, there's some variability, but no more that real human women who have lots of different bras. and water retention, and what have you.

I don't really trust that last scene for character accuracy anyway.
Mostly its probably just perspective making her look smaller.

Well, I realise that the pictures I originally posted aren't perfect for the task at hand, however scale comparison still shows a distinct increase in size between the pictures (I am so dead for all this

)

I think it's just because of the different animation style. I really don't see any significant difference.

Don't worry. As long as your discussing it in a mature and civilized manner, there is no problem with this discussion. Just don't start joking about it and you'll be fine.

Well it's not only Angel but Dorothy too.
Dorothy's style changed enough that

...well....it's different enough

Every character changed a little, I think. I remember watching some episodes from season II and I could have sworn I was seeing Manga-Roger.

well, different lighting and angle's change the way they look. not to mention the discrepencies in drawing style. i mean, what do you expect? for them to look identical when it's done by a human hand? but actual, intentional differences for the seasons? i dunno... if it's too hard to notice, than what's the point of changing it?

Hmm, I don't think anyone can question that Season 1's animation quality vastly beats that of season 2.
..but when it comes to that last shot with the 2 of them. When I first saw it I thought it made Dorothy look more human. And angel looked a little different too.. so maybe since everything was "reset" they were given different roles.. or something.

I think it could very well be intentional as a subtle part of a plot.
If it is, it would fit into my
Perfect Drama Theory.
I mean, if R-2 Angel is trying to attract attention of a character she fell in love with through the use of a virtual incarnation of herself (R-1 Angel, who lacks any memories of the real world), wouldnt it make sense that she would give her incarnation a little "advantage"
as she got more desperate and began to see any chance of attracting Roger's love slipping away?

I question it. In fact, I deny it. The drawing style is variable in both seasons.
If you want to see real improvement between Season 1 and Season 2, watch ELECTRIC CITY and then DAY OF THE ADVENT. Angel is a zillion times hotter in the same pink jumpsuit in DAY OF THE ADVENT than she was in ELECTRIC CITY.

I disagree. The characters looked more consistent in the first season, even though the art style changes around each epsiode. The second season had some
really bad inconsistency.

Episode with the worst animation: act 11: daemonseed
Act 11 had some really bad animation screw ups like:
-Faded colors
-messed up distances
-certain objects changing colors for no apparent reason (like Dorothy's hair, Roger's shades, and the saxaphone guy's clothing.)
-people have a LOT of facial features missing in certain scenes. (I know this is normal but it seems pretty bad in this episode)
-characters end up distorted in several scenes.
-movement often ends up completely unnatural
If you want to see something really messed up. Go watch the DVD and fast forward to the part where Dorothy goes back to Laura's apartment a second time. Pause the DVD when she says "Hello Laura.". Trust me, it's really really awful.
