My friend and I went randomly decided to go see this last night. It turned out to be pretty damn good. The plot is as follows:
Even from the description, you can't really tell what the true nature of the film is. It's a satirical comedy, a parody on other movies (Spider Man and the Matrix are quoted a few times in the film) and other films from the kung fu genre, and it also adds some sort of cartoonish feeling as well. For instance, there is a scene where the charachters are running like that seen in a Road Runner cartoon, where one suddenly crashes into a wall and slides down slowly off of the wall.
The special effects are really good, and the director, producer and writer actually stars in the movie.
Has anyone else seen this or planned to see this?
Oops: (can someone move this to the "Golden Maiyer Theatre"? I made a mistake posting it in here XD)

| Set in Canton, China in the 1940s, the story revolves around a hapless wannabe gangster who aspires to become a member of the notorious "Axe Gang." Other characters include an obnoxious landlady and her apparently frail husband who exhibit extraordinary powers in defending their turf. |
