Jine 09-15-2003 01:51 AM
The more I see, the more confused I get.
The last 6 episodes are going to be RIDICULOUS

I agree though, WHAT is going on with the sky?
Sixfortyfive 09-15-2003 02:07 AM
God... I'm ripping my hair out!!

I HAVE TO SEE THE REST OF THIS SHOW RIGHT NOW!!

...But first I have to do 3 programs for CS 110 and 2 English assigments before 8:30.

Megadeus, I don't know whether to shake your hand or ring your neck.
Executor 09-15-2003 02:12 AM
Holy sh**, Norman is so BADASS! Machine guns, grappling hook, twin pistols under the butler jacket... If I ever get rich, I'm gonna be disappointed when my butler isn't a one-man army. Big Grin

Also, on the whole love triangle note, Roger seems more than casually concerned when Dorothy gets carried off. I mean, that last scream of "Dorothyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!" seemed telling to me.
Sixfortyfive 09-15-2003 02:14 AM
No kidding, Executor. I thought to myself, "...Damn, he'd never have put that much emotion into that back in early season 1."
BigO-SHOWTIME 09-15-2003 02:16 AM
I am starting to REALLY like season 2 now.
Sixfortyfive 09-15-2003 02:18 AM
Why doesn't Dorothy fight back?! She's perfectly capable of taking care of herself!

Argh!!.... Rouge, Chibi... you're gonna have to give me a hand tomorrow with these.
Eon Shin 09-15-2003 02:19 AM
Well I came to the conclusion that what Schwarzwald was saying
spoiler (highlight to read):
the land around Paradigm City is a Dome a Super Dome if you will. If all dome can make sunlight and cloudy days this dome causes "The Permanent Night" Leaving the sky always cloudy keeping it from seeing the Real world on the outside. The Super Dome is getting old.. and Big Duo's Crash might causing it overload. Since people(and all sentient or semi-sentient life) have that classic mood of thinking
"Their to blind to see beyond what they belive, till something scatters their world." Of course.. that's just my Idea

Yep. When they first met, he was willing to send her out to draw enemy fire, since she was "just" an android. Now? He looked like he was ready to flap his arms and fly after her. If Roger has ever shown that much emotion before, I can't remember it.

And yet, I've seen no indication that there's one really huge turning point in their relationship. Rather, it's the culmination of a slow process of character development that's been going on since the first episode.

Screw the giant robots and complicated plot, THAT is why I watch this show. The characters, and how they're developed.

If you think about it, any incident involving Beck is almost a guaranteed Roger+Dorothy moment...

Act 1:
Roger handles the negotiaion between Beck, Soldano, and Dorothy. He's essentially the reason they meet.

Act 2:
Roger has to rescue Dorothy from Beck's megadeus.

Act 9:
Roger gets *very* upset when Beck tampers with Dorothy. I don't recall a time before then or since where he so coldly crushed the head of a megadeus like he did to Beck Victory Deluxe. Dorothy also poses a very interesting question at the end.

Act 18:
Dorothy's whole confession/joke.

And now we have Act 23.

For all of Beck's nasty little tricks, you gotta like the results they produce.
JinguJ 09-15-2003 06:50 AM
my impression:

Beck is VERY COOL.

NORMAN.. I LOVE YOU GRAMPA.

The Alan..

spoiler (highlight to read):
heh, so he's like get sucked into the deus eh? Just as I thought if the deus rejected its dominus it'll kill it off...

...

AND WHAT's With ROGER SCREAMING LIKE THAT O_O; Man!! O_O;; it's like he thinks Dorothy will die or something.

...well, maybe she will, but I mean he was never like that before. o.o; it's like he doesn't want to lose her or something. Perhaps it's because they have been befriended for so long.. but.. heh I'm curious now.

Dorothy is so.. pretty *_*;

OH!! And.. ... I am curious.. why Big O moved by itself to save Dorothy?

And another cool thing that the hook(?) that Big O had can be controlled by Roger from the cockpit... O_o woaw.

27: Whoa, Norman is even MORE the man than I thought!
28: OK, it's official, Norman is the single coolest guy in the history of the world. And it looks like Big O has a crush on Dorothy. ANd was it me, or did it sound like Roger was shouting NEWMAN!!!?
JinguJ 09-15-2003 07:10 AM
OMG

Big O has a crush on Dorothy.. NEAT!!!!! XDDDDDD
Eon Shin 09-15-2003 08:07 AM

spoiler (highlight to read):
the satellites in Day of the Advent weren't satellites at all, just pieces of the "super dome" that had broken loose! When Duo got way up there the light grid looked pretty worn and corroded, it wouldn't surprise me if some parts fell on their own due to age. And since they're not falling all that far, it would explain why the second one wasn't all that burned up due to atmosphere.
