That's just my opinon, of course. |
I agree. I hate how presumptuous some people are about it just because it's not in the top 2 on the Billboards. My sister saw the tracklisting and she's like, "LOL! Manneq1n R3public wut a stupid nam! LOLZ! tihs cd suxz!" Then she listened to American Idiot. And she's failing 8th grade math.
And the only CD she has in her 6 CD player is My Chemical Romance.
True story.

No it wasn't
MCR rules.
FYI: I was kidding. MCR should stop. Did anyone hear that terrible cover of "Under Pressure?"
So, today I got Acrobatic Tenement, in/Casino/OUT, and Vaya. They all roolzorz. AT is A LOT different though. Still great.

Vaya and In/Casino/Out are amazing. Acrobatic Tenement is my least favorite, but the track Embroglio is amazing.
Yeah, At sounds sort of strange, because it sounds like they just did it out of their garage or something, but then again they didn't have Paul or Tony yet. (Speaking of that, who are "Ryan" and "Adam" on that album? It's really weird how they almost never have the last names on the credits.) But yes, I agree that Embroglio is pretty good. It's about Julio Venega, right?

Yeah. He died in 1996, which is the same year that Acrobatic Tenement came out.
Ah, crap. I just realized it's spelled "Ebroglio". But anyway... 198d & Napoleon Solo > most things
Edit: Screw it. Apparently it's spelled both ways.

I've been listening to Relationship Of Command for a while and I have come to the conclusion that it rocks to my satisfaction.... although I think The Mars Volta is still a better band.

Hmm... here's my hierarchy:
ATDI (Relationship of Command) > The Mars Volta (De-Loused), ATDI (Vaya, in/Casino) > ATDI (Acrobatic Tenement) > dog sh** > The Mars Volta (Frances the Mute) > Fred Durst
Edit: Sorry, forgot the Fred man.

Aren't you being a bit hard on frank there?
Anyway I've always been a mellow Pink Floyd kind of guy anyway.

Relationship of Command is one of my favorite albums of all time. However, Alpha Centauri from In/Casino/Out is my second favorite ATD-I song (next to Rolodex Propaganda). I have an mp3 file on my dad's computer of me singing it and doing the lead guitar while my band K.O.T.R. plays in the background (this was in Junior year at a friend's house). When I get down there, hook up my pc and server, and get cable, I'll host it on the server. I don't want to boast, but it's a near perfect cover (and I had the vocals down really well).

Wait a week and I'll post it on here.
And Arcarsenal is damn close to it. However, when I saw ATD-I live, they opened with Alpha Centauri, and later played Arcarsenal. They played Alpha Centauri better, though...
How I miss them so. They're so much better than the top 40s crap spewing out on the Billboard charts these days.
Today they played One-Armed Scissor on Fuse.
Then they played Senses Fail.
I cried.

I don't watch fuse that often, its pretty lame.
You'd think if you had the chance to start your own music video network you'd learn from MTV and make it not suck.

Steven's Untitled Rock Show and 7th Avenue Drop are usually pretty good, but the rest sucks. They need to just make a 24 hour rock music video station. No hip-hop, no self-torture metal, no talk shows, just plain ****in' rock. It can't be that hard.

Well, earlier this morning, I picked up This Station is Non Operational, which now happens to be one of my favorite Greatest Hits/Compilation/Anthology albums of all time. The Smiths cover of THIS NIGHT HAS OPENED MY EYES is very well done.
And the DVD kicks ass.

Really? Sweet. I heard it has an alternate version of the One-Armed Scissor video, so just that sounds pretty good. I'll have to get it... when I have money.

I'm slowly building my ATDI collection.
I just picked up In/Casino/Out and to my surprise it rocks better than ROC in some ways......
P.S.
I cleaned up your chart:
