Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios will follow up Robots with a CG-animated version of Dr. Seuss's Horton Hears a Who, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio will write the screenplay; Audrey Geisel will executive produce and retain certain creative approvals. The film is expected to be ready for release in late 2007 or early 2008.

Fox has also acquired the rights to Horton Hatches an Egg.

But hey, at least it's CG this time unlike the Grinch and the Cat in the Hat. Though it will be strange seeing it computered. Seeing as how I'm used to the book and the cartoon. Not to mention that they might change things around and add stuff, but lets hope it's better then the last two Dr. Suess movies. What are your views on this?

Great! More Seuss! I loved the Grinch movie, despite what you may say. It was brilliant acting and directing, not to mention expanding on a rather drab story. I also found the Cat in the Hat to have nothing to complain about. The Seuss material is quite enjoyable either way you look at it. Those are my 2 cents.

I just hope they don't ruin it. "Horton Hears a Who" was one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books as a child.

It certainly will be weird computerized but I guess I will wait to see what they do with it before I start complaining. Tongue
