Ring 2

Did anyone else happen to see the trailer? It just randomly came on one night and I haven't seen it since. o_O

There were only two parts that I can specifically remember, which were scenes of inside the well with the zombie-Samara climbing up itl and when a new victim to the videotape is standing infront his television set with his back to it. He's got a look of terror on his face as he slowly turns around as the screen goes static and Samara's face flashes on.

I expected to see a thread on this when Paradigm would return, but it appears so far I'm the only one to notice. Anyone else happen to see it?

The first one wasn't that great, in my opinion. The video was very cool, but that was about the only part of the movie I liked.

I may see the second one, though. Just to say I saw it. I am having a party for my birthday and am going to see the movie. I can have it the weekend before the 30th, and see the Ring 2, or have it the weekend after, and see "Sin City"

I am leaning towards the latter.

I was going to start one, but I didn't get to it quick enugh....I'm deffnatly going to go see this.Just because I saw the other one in the theater. The new tape's good too. But why is there a huge tick crawlng up a wall and the big house....it has raised alot of new questions.

The one I saw the one that started out like a teenybopper movie. There a guy and a girl the narrator comes on and says "Do you remember the first time?" the couple says something like
"I love you..."
"I love you, too..."
Then it cuts into the centipede and the chair from the first tape and then it's a ring ad. I thought it was funny myself.....they way they made it look and what it really was, I mean....

You have to wonder why they arn't running the tape late at night like they did with the first movie. That was a good marketing ploy. But why didn't they repeat it? Or have they and I just missed it?

Woooow. I've seen a few trailors for this, and it looks a hell of a lot scarier than the first movie.

I was scared during the first movie, but I'm scared of everything, and after analyzing it, the first one wasn't really that much of a "scary" movie. It was more of a mystery that involves a creepy girl climbing out of a TV. From the looks of it, the second one will just be about scaring you senseless. Maybe now that they've established the plot, the mystery, the story behind Ring, the second one will be more of a horror movie. I'm soooo scared.... my sister is going to drag me to see it with her, for sure. I know I won't be able to sleep for a long time after it!! >.< I just finished the novel form of the Ring, and I think that it's definitely more of a mystery than horror story. Oh well, here's to sleeping with all the lights on! (I personally can't even watch the trailors, I always change the channel) I'm nervous!! But at the same time, extremely curious... My friend Kelly does a really creepy impression of Samara/ Sadako...

Random fact: Daveigh Chase, the young girl who plays "Samara" in the two movies also did the voice of Chihiro in Spirited Away.... strange, isn't it? It's a small world!

Hmmm interesting it appearsd that the movies are once again recylcing through the "lets make sequels" agains? Oh well I have not seen a trailer yet but I thought the first one was hilarious soI might give the second one a whirl too ^_^~""

I might decide to go see it, the movie's making me too curious to see what happens after I figured out just what the hell what happened in the first. Hopefully it won't be like the Grudge, not only I was laughing during it but so were most of the people in the theater. I guess I could go for another round of being scared senseless. >_>

Hey, I just realized it's 7 days until the Ring 2 comes out! Tongue
Generalissimo D 03-11-2005 01:57 PM
The Ring 2 will blow twice as much as the first one. It wasnt scary. It was stupid. Now whats this with the little boy now? Ive heard enough about little boys doing weird stuff. Goddamn micheal jackson. I also heard the Grudge was stupid...therefore spared myself the agony of wasting $9 USD to go see it. The same guy who told me this said that it would be funny if the mother from the grudge and the girl from the ring got on Jerry springer. Dont ask, I havent seen it.

I don't see the reason for making a sequel to a horror movie. Part of what I find most scary about any good horror film is that it leaves you with a mystery that you can never quite solve. I'm not interested in seeing the Ring:Two...but then again perhaps I should watch the first one before I ramble on further.

I was definitley more excited for the movie BeForE i saw the trailer. The floating tub water kinda made me go....meh.

But I won't judge the whole thing on one scene.

Whoa man... YOU just randomly showed up. O_O Long time no see, brotha from anotha motha.

I haven't seen the trailer yet, but based on the original, it could be good. Only time will tell.
David Ryder 03-13-2005 06:17 PM
it looks good IMO and hopfuly it won't suffer the same fate as the first one, all the random "Ringu" fan boys going around saying "OMG this sux!1!1!1 it's not japanese!"

I can..pretty much guarantee you it will. I doubt anything will (or could) sway their opinion.

That really, really needs to end.

I'm not talking specifically about the ring, I'm talking about this general theme that seems to keep popping up in horror movies.

The "scary kid" thing. It's becoming very old. And not in the "lovable cliche" (like..you know..a zombie movie has in spades) kind of way. More in the "use your imaginations dammit" kind of way.

I'll probably wait for this to pop up on HBO like I did with the last one.

That way, I can become so tired of people either saying its "brilliant" or "omg remake Frown " that I'll just stop caring entirely, watch it on a whim with no expectations of any kind, and be unable to be disappointed by it really.

Yes it does. Before you know it will be the Ring 6.

I could not agree more. I personally am not a big fan of horror...*cough*GODDAMN CHUCKY*cough* but I do agree for the sake of movies it does need to stop. This whole "Not as innocent as you thought" crud is getting aggravating. You'll do yourself a favor catching it on HBO(Thats how I saw it in its entirety). Alas, the porn, horror flicks, and Final Fantasy will forever perputate themsleves onto the unwilling public. Boycott this movie! Or watch it but sneak in from another movie!
Sharpshooter005 03-15-2005 08:48 PM
If I wind up seeing it, it'll mainly be for zombie sadako.

Or...she looks kind of like a zombie anyway. Which is good enough for me.
Lupin IV 03-18-2005 06:49 PM
Soo...It came out today.

Anyone see it?
Tickle Tickle 03-18-2005 09:46 PM
I did. And it really scared me, Samara is 1000 times scarier in this one. I loved the last well scene. Seriously better than the first one.
Mike 03-18-2005 10:01 PM
Well my brother saw this and said it sucked.
