That's the last time I doubt my Mom's movie tastes (I don't usually doubt it...I just put off seeing it).
The Whole Wide World (linky) is a movie based off of the book One Who Walks Alone by Novelyn Price Ellis. The basic plot of the movie/book is the love story between school teacher Novalyne Price and pulp fiction writer Robert E. Howard. This movie was shot beautifully and had a great cast. The only reason I'm highly recommending this movie is that the action, the gorgeous settings, and lighting created such a wonderful movie I fully enjoyed. The other huge reason is that I choked up in the middle of the movie, and cried at the end.
I've never acutally read any of Robert E. Howard's stuff, but I knew a little bit of his story (mostly his connection to Lovecraft from Mom mentioning it). I also didn't totally know the ending, which probably sets up why I cried!
Any move that makes me cry is REALLY up there. The only movie I can relate it to is [i]What Dreams May Come[/u]. In just the sappyness and moments.
