The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy

Well, this book came out a few months ago, and it is on of my favorite poetry collections. It is by Tim Burton (creator of Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman, the first movie). Though the poetry is slightly dark, it is all hilarious and quite good.
Example:
The Boy with Nails in his Eyes

The boy with nails in his eyes
put up his aluminium tree
it looked pretty strange
because he couldn't really see

Stick Boy and Match Girl In Love

Stick Boy liked Match Girl
He liked her alot
He liked her cute figure
he thought she was hot

But could a love ever burn
for a match and a stick?
It did quite literally;
He burned up pretty quick

I was wondering if anyone else picked this up? If so, what did you think?

OH yayay!! Tim Burton Rules!! I have been meaning to get this book! I love his art work and stories I really like the one about the queen on the pins(?). And yes the Match girl one. ^_^"

Tim Burton also did a few other films like Edward Sisscor hands, Fraken Weenie, Vincet and more. I also did a paper on him once. He's very inspernationial I love him and his works! ^_^""

HA! I remember this book! It was Mom who decided she had to read it and we both found it GREAT! LOL.

Gosh, I remember some of those little poems...they were so morbid, yet were laugh out loud funny.

It's on my list of "Will-purchase-someday" books.
