Worst/Most Boring Book You've Ever Read

Oh gee, Artemis Fowl most definately. I read this one day when it was the only book I could find. So horrible. It was like Harry Potter on crack.

PRIDE AND PREGIDUCE. It's a romance novel. And it's taking f*cking forever to get to the "I love you"s. XP I've read cliche-ridden fan fiction that was better than this. I'm not putting the effort into finishing it.

Yeah, I heard she was playing Sally Lockhart. I have every intention to watch the movie, then read the book. Hopefully the book won't be disappointing. I think it was just the time I read it.

Best book was the Edge Chronicles. I'm not finished with the series but its good.

Worse book. Books I don't read. I read Manga really...Top Manga right now to me is Buso Renkin.

Carry On, Mr. Bowditch. Holy crap, is that book bad.

To kill a mocking bird. I despise that book. The narrator is very irritating and so are most of the characters.

The Sterkarm Handshake.

Time travel and 16th century Scotts. In theory it should be good but alas, it is so annoying. I gave up on it about 3/4 of the way through...

I've probably already posted it here... but yes. Artemis Fowl was terrible.

It lacked in any good descriptions, the character development is weak, when they try to do humor it's obviously aimed at a 4th grade audience, and it sucks too.

Other than descriptions, the development of the character Artemis Fowl was terrible. What? Through the book the only development he has is becoming slightly more merciful. It's a weakness.

Before he was a boy genius who was always 10 steps ahead of everyone else and hoarded his technology from the world. He was cold and logical. Wasn't he an orphan or something too? He was an insanely extreme character, and nothing happened to him but having to deal with a couple little troll freaks.

I never finished it... but I think I stopped sometime after this mole guy was digging under Fowl's manor and that lady troll person had unchained herself from this mattress prison.

I'll never read that book again as long as I live; the book, to me, moved at a nauseating crawl. That and it was flat-out boring. My god, is it bad.

Oh and 'Winged Chariot' by Ben Jeapes was a disappointment too, considering his other sci fi books e.g. 'The Ark' and 'The Xenocide Mission' were a great read on holiday.

Again it was about time travel but was so dull and hard to understand what on earth was happening...

For me it was definitely "With Fire and Sword" by Henryk Sienkiewicz.Terribly boring...

It is so totally a rip-off of the way, way cooler Heart of Darkness.

I still stand by The Scarlet Letter as being the worst thing I ever read. That and Pride and Prejudice.

I liked Piggy from the Lord of the Flies

The Great Gatsby, Into the Wild, Of Mice and Men, The House on Mango Street...

They all freaking sucked. For everyone who seems to think House on Mango Street is some literary masterpiece... [ahem]: Just because the book is written by a member of a minority doesn't make it good.

Seriously I don't see how the movies like Shawshank come from this man's work.
