Ok. Act 4 end. I came to sort of a crossroads. I wanted it to end one way, but then again I want it to end another way. I cant choose. 4 ur consideration, I'll let you choose which one.

"FINAL STAGE OVERRIDE INITIATED.....COMPLETED" blinked Gregory's

screen. The Dominus was flung back to reality. Missles were flying at him, like

rain falling up. He retracted the extra weapons, and began ascending to the

sky. His ears popped and he began to breath harder and harder, the air

become a bit too thin. Greg strapped on the oxygen mask, and continued his

upwards path. He wondered with dread what Final Stage was. This name

struck a haunting bell in him, but if could somehow destroy this maniac, the

gain could be greater than the cost. "Big Horus," he said worryingly for what

would be his last time, "Final Stage Initiate."

Everything retracted. The control rails, the pedals, the new and old

controls, and the side monitors. In all their place, two half gears lowered over

his shoulders and locked in place, trapping him. Two handles slid down for

him to hold onto, and he did. The main monitors showed all reserve missles

and rockets were armed. Wires began to come out from under the seat, and

moving toward him. "I know what we must do. This is the only way. You don't

need to do anything else; I realize our curtain call is here." The wires

retracted and Big Horus jerked. Every part of its body expanded, and were

generating energy. Lucifer's dark energy jumped off him for a second,

revieling him for the scrawny black skinned man he was. "THE FINAL STAGE?!

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?! THE LOCK WAS SET IN PLACE!" he ranted.

The shadows jumped back on him as he fired some more weapons at Horus.

The assault was in vain, as the energy field being emitted by the flying Big

was deflecting everything.

"I...Love...G-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-gregory."

Lucifer looked back at Lucy. Wires began to detach, firing off sparks.

"I-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i am not PART of thIS maCHIne" She raised her arms and

began liberating herself from the chair. Big Terra did not take kindly to this,

and rained down the remains of its ammunition on Prometheus City. The

rebellious Big cried out again and began marching out towards the coast. The

android finished removing the wires, and was on the verge of ripping herself

out of the chair.

Gregory began to sweat. The energy was intense, and the heat and

radiation was irritating him. The eye lasers began to charge again and again,

not firing. As he approuched 100 feet above Terra, the screen lit up one last

time. "Ha ha. I didn't expect going out like this." joked Gregory to Horus.

OG Ending:
spoiler (highlight to read):
"System error...Corrupted sections...Internal

Meltdown..." ran across the screen.

"WITH YOUR ACTIONS CAST IN HIS NAME: GOD HAS SMILED"

Better Ending:
spoiler (highlight to read):
The cockpit began to spark, burning Greg slightly.

The heat was unbearable. The screen lit up once more and announced that

10 seconds left to impact. He sighed and stared out at the Big target.

Lucy broke out of the cockpit and looked up at him. She jumped and ran off

like a steam engine, Greg smiling at her all the way. 5 seconds left. He let go

of the handles, and sighed once more. 2 seconds. He closed his eyes and

thought about Lucy. 1 second. She was beautiful...and it was a pity he had

never told her this. He relaxed in his chair as his final second faded forever,

never to be regained. Impact.

Edit:Ive now favored the latter ending, so its now the proper one.

THIS CONCLUDES ACT 4, AND THE ARRIVAL OF GREGORY'S FINAL STAGE.

Lyinginbedmon and BigOZ,

Do you guys think you could take the conversations about your works (and other stuff) off the forums (to e-mail, PM or IM)? I only say that because this thread has mostly turned into you're own personal conversation and I'd like to see some other comments show up.

Thanks,

Act 5: The Greatest Show

Lucy was on the other side of Prometheus City when Horus finally hit,

and the light lit up the sky like a second sun. All the nearby humans covered

their eyes from the intense light, but android eyes were not so easily

harmed. The ground rumbled and as the energy let up, Lucy saw a massive

crater with a smoldering metal object at the bottom. She ran back toward it

and looked down at the remains of Big Horus and Big Terra. Her systems

registered an active lifesign somewhere in it. The android slid down the side

of the gap towards it and looked up.

Gregory was hanging out of the remains of Big Horus's cockpit. Lucy's

scans showed his body had become severely damaged and burned, but by a

miracle the radiation had not yet caused him to develop cancer. She carefully

climbed up. Lucy grabbed Greg and lowered him slowly. His face was

completly burned on his left side, with minor burns on his right. The reporters

coat was no longer existant and the tux underneath was nearly burnt off. All

that remained were his underwear and his undershirt. Our hero was lifted

onto Lucy's shoulders as she began moving out of the crater.

"Silly Reporter," said Lucy, "Kamakaze tricks are for kids."

Lucy made her way back slowly, the denizens of Prometheus City stunned

from the events that had just transpired. The mechanical female reached

their household and Leon immediately took him in. Our hero was near death

when Leon started to treat him. Seconds became minutes, minutes hours.

After a good 2 hours, Leon came out with a grave look on his face. "Lucy.."

Act 5(Cont.):

Lucy wept coolant from her eyes. The poor mechanic felt a terrible weight on

him. The residence was mournful for the loss of Prometheus City's best reporter,

Gregory Diaz. Lucy failed to scan the internal bleeding, and as soon as Leon

recognized it it was too late. Lucy called Fire Head, and leader of the

Prometheus Justice Protection Department and old friend, Bram Kruger. The

old gang, once quite close, disbanded. Gregory and Bram never saw eye to

eye about Prometheus Corp, and Fire Head decided not to get mixed up in

their dispute. The funeral was arranged, and the remains of Big Horus's final

stage buried.

***

The funeral came around, and a great deal of people showed up. Several

threw flowers ontop of the casket. Protest signs and copies of his newspaper

were thrown as well. Dressed in the most elegant dress, Lucy gave out a

speech on his life and works. She also revealed he was the pilot of their

guardian, Big Horus.

"So we shouldn't give up! We have to make his sacrifice worth something!

We have to liberate the city from the hands of Prometheus Corp!"

Lucy's speech stirred something in the audience. The threat of Big Terra was

over. Now the Corporation would have hell to pay.

***

Weeks passed the Diaz household, and life continued. New writers showed

up eagerly to write for the paper, and it became the most respected and read

document in the city. Everything had been repaired quickly, quietly. Leon felt

especially uneasy about that. He had a fear that somehow they would

attempt to create a new Megadeus, even possibly a Gigadeus, from the parts

remaining. The mechanic himself had surveryed the damage, and saw that

most of Big Terra's operation system and hardware had been destroyed.

Horus's however, remained partially intact. Enough, he figured, to operate

fully. He feared that they also have discovered this. As the weeks turned to

months, and months to a year, his paranioa fell and eventually he found a

young woman he fell in love with. Lucy became less animated and simply

cleaned the house when ever she felt like it. Life had become quiet, and

peaceful. For two years, this went on. Leon was married by then, with a little

creation to call his own. True happiness would described it, but without his

best friend it was not much. The monster he had slain laid deep underground,

and could never return. In all technicality, this was true. The God of War laid

dormant, and he was anxious to get up.

-----------------------

Act 5(Cont.):

Life passed on. Leon left the household to be with his family, and Lucy kept it

clean, occasionally going out for oil and other things to keep herself running. Fire

Head had officially moved into Leons old quarters, but Gregory's room was kept

exactly as it was the day he left it. One day, Fire Head was listening to his

favorite radio program, a reading of poetry over pieces of orchestra music.

"And now, 'Dragon's Flame'." said the presenter

The flames of rage that boil inside,

Something I would seek to hide.

Through storm and hail,

On sleet and nail,

The flames still burn,

Which seeks to turn

All I am into another,

Even if i'm torn asunder.

But I will calm my fire of rage

And make it my shining light

That will lead me through the night.

As the poem finished, a news announcer came on. They played warning

sirens all over the city at that time.

"We interrupt this program to bring you a special bulletin. A strange new

Megadeus-class robot has been spotted coming towards Prometheus City by

air. It is advised you take shelter underground or in bunkers. Please be

advised: Due to the known nature of these machines, mass destruction is

sure to ensue. We cannot be held responsible for lost items and/or lives."

Fire Head got up immediately and began looking for Lucy. "LUCY?!"

The android came up from the basement. "What is it?"

"They just announced on the radio! A flying Megadeus is coming this way!"

For a moment, a mix of sheer terror and pure joy came over both of them.

Fire Head had seen a memory of a flying megadeus over the city, destroying

it. In another, he saw Gregory rise up from the ground atop Big Horus's head

in the middle of the wasteland and bringing some sort of truth with him.

However bizzare, he had learned that all the memories he accessed were

symbols of what was to come, due infact that history repeats itself. Lucy

immediately dispatched to get Leon once Fire Head had given the order. It

was going to be something Big coming, and what better way to be prepared

than by getting the one man who knows the workings of the Bigs?

Act 5(Cont.)
----

The door opened. A small boy with very spiked hair looked at the android.
"Is Leon here?"
The boy pointed to another room and she stepped in. The boy closed the door and ran into another room. Leon was listening to the radio while working on a long arm-like device. "
"Leon!" yelled the ecstatic android.
The mechanic jumped up and looked at her with a slight frown on his face.
"Hello Lucy. Its been a while"
"What? Thats the greeting I get after all these years?"
Leon took a screwdriver and began putting on metal platings on the subject of his interest.
"Sorry Luce, but I'm sort of busy."
Banging her hand on the table, Lucy began ranting.
"What busy? A Megadeus is coming this way! You have the damn radio on! They've been playing it through the city! WE NEED YOU NOW!"
Leon finished the machine before him. He pressed a button to allow it to open up and attached it to his left arm.
"Multipurpose device kit, cutting tool, strength enhancer, and long distance carbine," he said as he raised the arm and it reconfigured to a rifle-like form, "..for emergency purposes."
They held a short debate, and Leon went to go say goodbye to his wife and son. The old friends left speedily, and went to observe the situation.

A light shone on the metal floor of a strange vessel. It was being emmited by a console nearby. Working it, a seemingly young man wearing a outift which was oriental in style and features: baggy dark-blue trousers; a black sleeveless shirt; and a coat that connects at his neck by two chained-gem ornaments whilst also having two long parts that fall loose infront and behind his legs. He was monitoring several small windows, each with the letters "PC1-" and a number denoting its position. He felt unsatisfied at his creations, who had long forgotten about him. Save one, the denizens of what remained of Earth did not even know about his existence.
"Nevermind it! Two more years and I'll see over the more successful crop."
He typed a series of code into the console, and began to play Tetris.

*Hours later.*

The man went off to busy himself in some other way, and left the console open. Another one came by soon. Moving his legs unhumanly fast, he went over to the console. He typed quickly, and brought up a new screen.

Jack typed in some more code and gained access to new monitor screens, similar to the ones before, but with the prefix "PC2-". He had recently been attempting to indulge in the chaos he loved so much in the style of the Real Time Strategy games of the 20th and 21st centuries behind everyone elses backs.

The Prometheus City Graveyard shook suddenly. A single beam of light fell upon the gates quickly and left behind a ditch infront. The hand of a man rose from it. Then the actual man. Dusty, and disoriented, the man got up and shook himself. Gregory Diaz stumbled along the road to his home, with strange thoughts of heaven in his head.
****

"Your joking."
"I wish I was."
"But wasnt it melted to nothing?"
"Yes, but I guess they reforged it."
Lucy was confused. The new machine coming, classified a Gigadeus by Leon, had parts from all three of the previous Megadeuses that were destroyed when Gregory kamakazied them. Leon told her about the rements of the operatiing systems, but was somewhat assured no one else could work them.
"So what now?"
"Wake up Fire Head. We'll need him for whatever comes next."

"Wake up"
"What?"
"Wake up. Now."
"Da hell are you?"

Greg felt a sudden push forward, as if God's Hand nudged him. Suddenly, a breath filled his lungs and his vision cleared. A sensation of warmth filled him, his nerves activating. His mind came into focus. Gregory realized he was being revived bit by bit as he walked. The reporter felt his organs stir. He continued down the road.
*******

"So FH, whats the deal?"
"The men in my vision called it Big Mars."
"Leon? What do you say?"
"I'd say we need to get the spare."

Lucy and Fire Head looked at him and responded in unison.
"What spare?"

Tim walked right behind Jack as he was playing. Slowly, he inched forward until he poked Jack in the back. He was startled and accidently accessed the wrong command.

"TIM!"
Jack brandished his two katanas.

*****

"So whats it called again?"
"Big Horus Oro"
"And whats different about it?"
"Well for one, lack of the chest missles, more machine guns, its standard size, and it is more aerodynamic"
"Did Greg know about this?"
"Yep. I've been using it to replace important parts on Big Horus and bulk up its power."
"Why the hell didnt you use this one then?"
"It takes a great deal of skill to use this version. Its the rocket-strapped NOS-Fueled sports car equivilant of a Megadeus. The bigger one can outrun it anyway since this one has a broken Overdrive program."
Fire Head looked at Leon.
"So who gets to use it."
All three exchanged glances. Lucy and Fire Head pointed at Leon while Leon pointed at Lucy.
"Majority rules!" screamed the android.

FLAMING UPPERBUMP!

I know, I know. "D-Boy/BigOZ why havent you finished your awesome fanfiction OMG LOL!!!11one"

Well...its like this...
I've come across one of the most feared artifacts known to writerdom. The Great Writer's Block Wall of The Mind. I'll get back to the Other Coast. But I'm working on this new little bit of fiction thats a bit darker and goes back to my grittier roots(What can I say? Film noir, the book of revelations, and too much batman affects you). I hope you enjoy, as this is not complete. I'm only releasing this partial, unrefined version for YOUR enjoyment.

Title To be announced

[Charged]
The dark alleys were illuminated with a bright flash and responded with ferocious growls. Amist the corroded, soggy stone landscape large figures began to rouse. The moonlight broke through the dense clouds and a chorus of howls followed. Another bright flash and their bipedal canine features were illuminated for the humans to see.
"Form up and at the ready."
Hugging the walls in their black outfits, tailored to match with little distinguishment, the elite team locked and loaded. The audiable squeel of their weapons reminded the eldest of the sound of camera flashes. The monsters came down on all fours and began to try to sniff them out.
"On my mark."
All 10 of the group put their fingers on the trigger to the only thing standing between them and their end. The creatures began closing in on their position.
"Mark."
No sooner had the sound faded that the familiar sound of whirring projectiles filled the air. They fired in short pulses at their targets. The human to mutant ratio was one to three. No sooner had the most trigger happy of the bunch had evened the odds did he recieve on of the most frightening messages an Arbiter could recieve.
[Battery OFFLINE]
He turned around and saw himself face to face with one of the abominations holding a small damaged backpack. The sudden hissing and popping off of the wires that connected his equipment startled it back, giving just enough time to draw his autohack from his pocket. He threw the small purple sphere and the blades hidden within extended, giving it heliocoptor like movement. It divebombed for its eyes, giving a window of escape.
Several more of these wolves jumped into the fray, and their batteries were running low. All the autohacks deployed the made a frantic run.
"Volt swords on."
They mechanically pulled a trigger that opened their guns and electrically powered blades were emitted. As they progressed the wolves caught onto their scent. Up above the buildings the monsters lurked and waited to pounce. The first began descending and were impaled on the painful cuts of the Volt swords. "Hellhound virus or not, you still burn like everything else you bitch" yelled ATK-244, one of the Arbiters.
He looked over at DGO-3,4,5,6,7, and 8. All brothers and cousins. The leader of this special unit, ATX-07, and his second in command, the arrogant CRM-241, were accessing the map they had in order to see the best escape route, while TAS-24 and HVK-006 fell back in a suicide mission to stop the wolves.
"All units move into Buttefly formation and prepare for a heavy drop."
They all formed into an X shape and CRM threw a grenade back. The wolves pounced at them and were greeted with the firey blast of the explosive. The floor beneath them began to crumble and the unit stopped. They all activated their impact suits and bulked up with the gas that was stiffining them. ATX was used to the hard falls that came with the job. All support gave way and they prepared for the hard smack. As they started falling a wolf jumped at DGO-6 and tore a hole in the suit.
"DANGER! I'VE GOT A WOLF ON ME! MY IMPACT SUIT IS DAMAGED!"
The sound of a small explosion reached the muffled ears of the encased Arbiters. They immediately sliced their way out and started running towards the exit. A flood of wolves came down and the DGO's were killed one by one, their Volt swords proving little help agaisnt multiple targets. CRM rammed one of the stronger males in the skull with his blade and continued on his path. ATX had managed to avoid any unfortunate scrapes and scampered across the grainy floor.
[Hulks Detected. 100 meters and closing]
"Goddamn it.." said ATX under his breath. He activated his radio once more.
"Anyone still alive prep your Martyr bombs, and say your prayers. We got Hulks incoming."
He shut off his battery and detached his belt from it. All the connected devices detached and fell. ATX lifted the belt over his head and he twisted the conceled knob hidden.
[Martyr Bomb Ready]
A small slender wolf was adhered to the wall and creeped up above him while he was reciting his prayers.
[DataSpecs low on batte-
ATX was knocked down and his black goggles smashed. The wolf grabbed the belt with its hand and tossed it. It turned him over and bared its teeth at him. To most men, this was true fear, yet he never showed a sign of weakness. The bold leader drummed his fingers quickly on the ground, causing short needles to extend from his knuckles, and thrust up towards its abdomen. The monster spasmed and rolled over, letting ATX get up. The Arbiter's pale eyes scanned the wolf, and saw the lack of the sharp ridges that meant it was female. The venom in his attack caused "her" to react violently. It was a potent concotion that counter-attacked the Lycanothrope virus. Standard issue for all humans that survived the Second Wave.
The now tired man pulled his coat aside and extracted a revolver from a hidden holster. Etched, blessed, silver alloy bullets. Though the superstious reasons were debated, it was a proven fact these things dropped Wolves after they go past the PSR(Point of Safe Return) of their first full moon. He loaded the 6 chambers and aimed. As per protocol, he had to wait the obligatory 10 seconds to make sure whether or not the wolf was cured.
"5...4...3..."
Its skin rippled and it shook.
"Huh. Got me a fresh one."
ATX perked up he heard the thunderous steps of the Hulks. Super muscular Doberman like creatures with 4 eyes and extended claws. They walked on all fours and were the size of elephants. Their skin was tough and thick, that in reality only the unwieldly Gauss shotguns could penetrate easily. The now heavily concerned Arbiter looked over at the shaking wolf. She should have either turned back or simply scampered away as they all do. Debris fell from the roof as the Hulks came within proximity. ATX decided to cut his losses and put the bitch down. He raised his gun and took precise aim towards the spinal column. The wolf jumped up as he fired, avoiding the bullet. Not deterred, he whipped his weapon upwards and fired once more. The soft vibration of his normal weaponry was nothing compared to the archiac, harsh recoil that the revolver gave. It was circling above him, and in a single deft move, it knocked him down face first. The wolf moved its head towards his, giving him full view of its angry eyes. It reared its head for a moment, sniffing the air. "Now or never.."
ATX twisted his wrist segment 360 degree's, tilting his hand up toward its heart. As he pulled on the trigger it bent over and bit his neck. dropping the firearm, he screamed in pain as the hypodermic-needle tipped fangs injected the virus into his bloodstream. He threw the wolf off him, the virus breaking down the inhibitor drugs that gave him the icy precision he needed. He couldn't think straight anymore. All his training swirled about him, and memories popped up like a slideshow. The Hulks finally descended into the area, and his hand began spinning like a drill. Lunging at the first he saw, he tore out its eyeballs and drove the twirling hand up to its brain, ripping out the gray matter. The other 2 hulks came over quickly. ATX jumped off the fresh kill and moved towards the next. As it opened its mouth he shoved it straight up the roof of it. It's eyes rolled to the back of its head and it bit down. The virus was already in him, so he ignored the pain and severed its brain from the rest of its body. He ripped out a fang and used it as a throwing knife, hitting the final Hulk in the eye. it roared in pain and he grabbed its head and drove his hand straight in, giving it a rough lobotamy. He pulled the brains out and tossed them, screaming primally. The fallen Arbiter turned and saw the wolf that bit him. He rushed towards her with inhuman speed, the virus increasing his strength by the second, and brought down his hand. She caught the strike with her arm and grabbed his other arm as well. Restrained, pissed, and enraged he fought agaisnt the grip for a minute or so. The virus worked quickly and soon he was drowsy. His head drooped and his eyelids closed. His hand ceased spinning..and his body went limp. The wolf slung him over her back and carried him off. A single word echoes in ATX's head: His birthname. Soon, his senses dimmed and he was slowly rocked to sleep by the movements of his captor.
