Okay, I must have been the only one who missed out on Beck's full name - I didn't know his name was 'Jason Beck' until last night's Ep. 23.
Will this change Beth's character name any? Would she actually be 'Beck' now? (Janice Beck?) or keep it as Beth?
Opinions?

blah blah blah
We don't need to change her name until you get up to the "opposite" act of "twisted memories"
So I say keep it BETH GOLD

Don't worry to much on it Tess, but if you want ideas let me see.
Marcia is the female name for Jason and it means of Mars, wielder of the war hammer (or at least according to my baby names book, but Marcia beth Gold doesn't sound good to me!).
Janet, Jasmine, Jane, Josy??
Ahh! maybe Unibasu will know! But still don't think about it to much right now

Just would like to be brought up to speed.
I take it Act 1 pics are done? So, Act 1 is complete?
I guess I need to get to work on Act 2 (GOD WHERE IS MY DVD??? I ORDERED IT THREE WEEKS AGO!!).
Anyone want to add anything?
Oh, I just thought of something - Underground Terror. Roger imagines he woke up to his 'mother' and even called for her. He became more conscious and realized it was Dorothy. Now, with Roxanne when she wakes up, who does she see? And please note that -
spoiler (highlight to read):
Roxanne will have Major Roger Smith's memories, which are the same ones that Roger has.
How do we go about this if Roxanne wakes up to Dorian?

*scratches head*
spoiler (highlight to read):
maybe she wakes up and sees dorothy then it turns into dorian
*shrug*
Tess-person, do you think its advisible we talk about this in the open
oh god, im becoming a facist
im sorry

*Vera impression* Agent 396, you are a schame to zee Union!
Okay. Well, I just wanted some ideas tossed around. I mean, we're not exactly writing anything new, just different.
However, if I was the one overstepped the bounds, then maybe I should be punished (I dare you!! Without me, you are noz-zing!!) *slaps self to get out of Vera impression*
I like the idea, though, CR. Seeing that before focusing on Dorian, that'll work.

oh wow
compliements from females, does this mean im moving up the dating ladder
everyone: NO!!!!
uhh i figured
anyhow, another suggestion concerning Norman's recent rampage, i was suggestion maybe Norma have a nice big gunrack, right behind her brooms and cleaning materials, although i dunno what kind of fire arms, certaintly peacemakers. Would Norma have modern weapons like m-14s and 50 cals or period weapons, i think browning machine guns and tommy guys,or a mix...
lol, you imagine some old maid handling double magnums.
ahh,elderly violence
*gets banned*
aww...
Lady Tesser
10-09-2003 06:06 PM |
Of course - some of my notes concern Norma's part in the fighting of the mansion (imagine James Bond's grandmother). Norma has all sorts of firearms in her broom closet and kitchen cabinets and such - and probably some grenades tacked under the hem of her dress to pull out and toss.
Of course, proper British old lady cursing:
"Bloody b*****ds!"
*shrugs* Need to get ready for my trip ...

Oh! Oh! You know I was wondering for act 2 or more like in "Dorothy Dorothy" you know after defeating Dorothy-1 how Roger carried Dorothy to the Big O...How the heck will Roxanne carry Dorian?? O_o
But here's my suggestion (And I put it in spoiler because I wanted to direct it to the authors of this lovely story, anyone else can feel free to read too

)
spoiler (highlight to read):
I was thinking that maybe Roxane could try to wake him up and after doing so, try to help him out. Of course Dorian's too heavy, she can't get him out but Roxanne won't give up and keep trying to pull him free. Dorian seeing her determination to free him pulls himself out of the wires free, then he swepts Roxanne off her feet and while carrying her, he heroically jumps from Dorian-1 to the Big O (And later Roxanne takes that thing Beth put in his head and pushes his CD drive in and the rest is history).
That's just an idea. Roger had trouble carrying Dorothy so I think it would be physically impossible for a woman to do it.

yea dat coo' Rogue
yea dat coo'
But Tess-person wot be back till' tuesday
Lady Tesser
10-15-2003 11:26 AM |
Tess-person is back. You may rejoice.
*everyone looks at their watches then rolls their eyes*
Okay ... for Roxanne's bit of pulling Dorian out
spoiler (highlight to read):
Pulling out isn't the problem - after all, Roxanne would actually have better upper body strength as a side effect of her work. The problem is picking Dorian up to get him to safety. Fireman's carry always works. Not romantic, not visually pleasing, but Roxanne's too hard-nosed to care - she promised to protect Dorian, and that means by any means necessary. Fireman's carry is just slinging someone over your shoulder on their stomach. It works no matter what the weight of the person being hauled is.
Well, just a suggestion. Guess we'll figure it out when I get to writing it. Soon.

The Tess-Person told me I should post this, so I did.

This was a sketch of a "feminine" style Big O I did during my lunch break last week. The Dreadlocks were an awkward nod to
Overman King Gainer, but I didn't like how they turned out.
If I get to work on it, she'll have a proper helmet/visor later next week.

As I had mentioned to Falcon, I like where he's going with the face plate and general design.
Granted, the wig threw me for a loop, too.
As for Vera ... Vernon.
Argh. I need a kick in the butt to work on Act 2. Help.

Finished Act 2. Needs a bit of editing but otherwise done. Played merry hell with both anime and manga versions to write it out. Oy. I need some mindless escapism now.

mkay
lemme see here...
Ah i bit of an idea(although i think it's built in)
I remember seeing in the opening on those small scraps of newspaper a headline that said
THE JAZZ MESSENGERS
So i thought maybe there could be this section outside the domes that has like a whole myriad of music, be it nightclubs or street performers, like new york back in the 1930's with all those jazz clubs, n' they could be stuff from new york, chicago, new orleans(san fransisco?) and there could be "parodies" of dudes like Johnny Coltrane, Ray Charles,B.B king, John Lee Hooker, Ella Fitzgerald, all those cats and i guess Instra takes Dorian there for his musical education
Dont mean a thing if it aint got that swing....
