Paradigm Radio (Scott's Radio Show)

Dumb question: does this count as advertising? If so, please delete this thread immediately.

Starting tomorrow, ever monday, I'll be on campus radio from 2-4 PM Eastern, which broadcasts around a radius of what I believe is 90 miles (I'm probobly wrong on that part). However, the webcast can be found here, even though it's behind a few seconds, it's still good quality.

I like a few of those bands.

So do you just make up the playlists or do you do a little on air talking inbetween the songs.

(I'm at school when this is on)

I'll check you out next Monday, Scott.

Have fun in the wonderful world of broadcasting!

We mostly played music last time, but talked for a bit, mostly about what we played. However, we have a discussion planned out.

Also, it is almost confirmed (we still need to figure out how we're going to get him from Buffalo to Oswego, which is not that long a distance) that mc chris will be on our show in the begining of March. Word.

That sounds really kick ass. Too bad I'm in school during it. If I get a chance I will check it out.

*cough* shameless advertising *cough*

Yeah, so we're back on tomorrow for our second show from 2-4 PM, and since we both (my friend Matt and I) have the gist of everything, it'll be kick ass without the screwups. We're starting off with At The Drive-In's Arc Arsenal and probobly ending with some HIM. Everything inbetween there is all up in the air, although I have a few things up my sleeve (I recently discovered a whole much of Mike Patton cds scattered around the studio).

To listen to the broadcast, go here:

http://www.oswego.edu/~steinhar

We'll tell you the number on air. Call in and request something if it tickles your fancy.

Edit: I'll be doing the show alone today, because Matt will be with his girlfriend all day, so...yeah...it'll still be cool.

Very cool. Radio shows are a lot of fun. Just try not to tick anyone off like we did. *g* There were days when I was afraid the answer the phone line...

Nobody has called yet, so there's really no phone line for us to answer...

Anyway, we're back on today from 2-4 eastern. The webcast is working again, so you can once again get the link to it @ http://www.oswego.edu/~steinhar
enartloc 02-21-2005 11:01 PM
will most definitely show your support! Big Grin

Very cool Scott, if I'll turn it on durring lunch if I can on Monday ^.^
Travis Bickle 03-12-2005 11:42 PM
Ok. So far, our ratings totall kick ass (more people listen to the webcast outside of the school than inside), and we have yet to find out how many people listen on an actual radio.

This coming show (a week from this monday) we are:

-Giving away prizes. This time, it'll be...Matt's Soul (again, since nobody wanted it the first time)
-asking people to call in and suggest a name for our radio show
-playing new songs from Queens of the Stone Age, The Mars Volta, Nine Inch Nails and System of a Down
-taking requests (as always)

Tune in, on a week from this coming monday between 2-4 pm eastern @ http://www.oswego.edu/~steinhar .
Travis Bickle 03-28-2005 11:36 AM
I hate to double post, but we're on in less than 2 hours, and there's a good chance Cali punk band Tsunami Bomb might call in and talk to Matt and I for a bit. So...yeah... http://www.oswego.edu/~steinhar to all of those who are interested.

Alone again this week? That stinks...and what was that about a hole in the CD? I was confused...

Well I got to hear my request, so I'm happy! Keep up the good work Scott!
Generalissimo D 03-28-2005 03:09 PM

I wasn't alone for most of the first half. Krystal was with me. It was awesome.

And I accidentally said sh**, but I don't think anyone caught that.

As for the hole in the cd, in the middle of Fake Plastic Trees, the cd stopped. That was because a gigantic hole was in the cd.

And the request: think nothing of it. I just never got to play the Clash, thanks to the stupid cd.

Tsunami Bomb never called, BTW. I might try to get them on here when they play a show in Syracuse in a week or two.

Thanks to the miracle of webcast, I heard your show all the way out in Oregon.
