Next James Bond film will be....

Oh well, I'm going to miss Pierce Brosnan but, I suppose even he was getting a little long in the tooth for the role.
What an interesting list of possible actors to be the next Bond. As much as I like him( alot!), I'm afraid Ewan McGregor would not make a suitable Bond. I can honestly say that I'm not overly familiar with the rest of the list though. I've heard of them, just not knowlegable about their work.

Hmm...
Maybe Colin Farell (even though I hate him) because he's so intensely Irish and Sean Connery is so intensely Scottish.
Ewan McGregor could be good. So would Hugh Jackman, but he's not from the British Isles. that seems like a kind of a tradition.

so they kept Tarantino away from this project?
Anyway, I have no idea who the next bond will be and I'm not too enthusiastic about any of the choices.
But at least they're going back to bonds roots.

I think Clive Owen would make a good James Bond.
Even though I think he's a good actor, Ewan McGregor would be terrible.

I don't know who Clive Owen is, but I agree with you are the McGregor part. He is too jedi-ish and not Bond-ish.
I don't know who they can replace Brosnan with. He was my second favorite Bond, with Sean Connery being the first, of course.
Though anyone would be better than Timoth Dalton.

Though did you know that in 1969 Timothy Dalton was given the chance to be Bond in
"On Her Majesty's Secret Service"? He thought himself too young to be bond and turned down the offer. Imagine, we could have been not subjected to the the Roger Moore version for all those years.

Brosnan could have done well in the role, it's just...I don't know...the movies themselves just seemed lackluster compared to the older ones. He wasn't really able to save them from the other problems they had.
I didn't even bother seeing "die another day".

I'm probably the only person who thought Timothy Dalton was a good Bond.
(Not my favorite though, that'd be Connery of course. But...second or third favorite, maybe.)

I've never seen that one, but...wasn't George Lazenby in it? Or..did you mean that resulted in Roger Moore getting the part.

It was Lazenby. It was a very good Bond film to boot. I loved the end.
Though my favorite is "You Only Live Twice" Blofeld for the win! (It'd do the little acronym, but I don't know what it is!)

I think Ewan McGregor would make a pretty good Bond. He'd need possibly a little more polish before fully embracing the role, but for some reason I can see him doing pretty well. I think his apparent age factor may be a reason behind some of his detractors. If he were to become Bond, I think he'd be less of a ladies man and be more of an action hero, which could definitely cause some concern based upon the identity that James Bond already has.
Pierce Brosnan did a great job as Bond, in my opinion, however, I will admit to not seeing "Die Another Day". I thought "Tomorrow Never Dies" was pretty bad though. That was the movie about the media maniac trying to take over the world, right? Absolutely horrible in my opinion. After that one, "Die Another Day" didnt seem too appealing to me.
Tomorrow Never Dies was a HUGE dissapointment after the awesomeness that was Goldeneye. It was just...ugh.
The World is Not Enough was mediocre at best. I just LOVE how they carry around plutonium with their bare hands.
Die Another day was, by comparison, pretty damn good. Not as good as say, Goldeneye, or some of the older Sean Connery ones, but better than the last two.

There we go, GAT. Thanks for hookin' a brother up (I couldnt remember the other Brosnan-Bond movie I missed..."The World is not Enough")
Didnt see that one either...basically, the Greatness that was Goldeneye was followed up by the abysmal "Tomorrow Never Dies" and after that, I lost track of the Bond films due to it being so bad. Need to rent "The World Is Not Enough" and "Die Another Day"...
