Well, my dad and I arrived at our second hotel in Orlando, Florida, about three hours ago. I mused around the hotel talking to COHugh on the phone for over an hour as he couldn't make it due to a flu-like illness he came down with; he sounded miserable.

The storms are really picking up now (at least from my perspective; COHugh tells me it's nothing) and there is a possibility that our flight might be delayed tomorrow.
Relevant to Lady Tesser's earlier message, I had such a late lunch prior to the shindig that I just
now felt hungry.
Pity that no one else (from PCF, at least) showed up and our webcam (actually a digital video camera) had to throw a tantrum.
Once again, I would like to thank Lady Tesser and Prince-Consort Tesser for inviting us and being great hosts. It was a pleasure meeting you two. Enjoy the cake!

Without further word, here are some pictures.
Pikachu (thanks Lady Tesser for the correction).
Lady Tesser.
Prince-Consort Tesser (left) and my dad (right).
Lady Tesser and Voldemort.
Yours truly. The webcam griping had put me in sort of a glum mood.

Looks like fun. Hmm, I spy as of now (10:34 P.M. EDT) Lilly Rose, BigPrime/Diverse Considerations (?), Dark-O, Jesse, R. Smith, and Zola (or rather, her head).

Good LORD did I have a good time

All the sarcsatic wit, the crude dubbing, the jokes, Hoboken, the PWN3Dage, Rolf....not spelt wrong...DAMN. I can't wait for next year
Diverse Considerations and DarkO, I do hope we meet again

Johnny Axehandle...I was suprised with you! You were actually a good fellow

heh You have earned my respect *schwarzwald voice*
for now....
To those who couldn't make it and were anxious to see the webcam (which sadly was finally online waay too late in the day), you missed one hell of a party. I hope you all (who are near the eastern half of US) consider coming to a cookout (either the northeast or the southeast) next year! Same goes for the Westcoasters.

To those shy ones or those who have parents who think we're 3\/1L, tell them...we're not
TOO evil, just evil enough to have one hell of a party even WITHOUT burning masquerade masks
THE WRAP-UP
I have pictures which I'll have up by Monday

Zola you still owe me pics from last year's cookout

And by god I want to see that video footage of us!!

Well then your dad is awesome. I am trying to get into radio building and such but it's pretty complicated and I don't think I got the brains. And I always wondered what PCT looked like. He reminds me of my 4th grade teacher. Only PCT has a brain and my 4th grade teacher cheated on his wife in the classroom.

Diverse Considerations...I think we'll need a list of all those "important" discussions we had during the cookout

Hoboken, ghetto napalm, the car, the broken window, etc

heheh

Here is my LiveJournal entry on the shindig.
Well folks, it happened. I met Lady Tesser and Prince-Consort Tesser. It was such a great experience though I failed to show it; I'm rather proficient in restraining myself from getting bouncily excited (though I really wanted to). They were both really, really nice and fascinating people and I would jump at the chance to meet them again, as would my dad, who had a blast.
Dad and I arrived about ten minutes late after getting lost thanks to my ghastly note taking. We brought along this delicious looking chocolate-raspberry cake from a small bakery in Cocoa Beach.
I received a call from R. Smith right before we arrived at the house, but as I was with my dad, I disregarded it and let it go to voice mail. Sorry David!
Upon arrival, Tess introduced us to PCT, Mother Tesser, and the babies (don't I have such a good memory
) Voldemort, Pikachu, and Cissy Marie. I was then given the traditional name tag, with my username Avenir, real name Coleman, and my current avatar (screenshot of the Zeta Gundam from Mobile Suit Z Gundam) printed. I was also shown what was supposed to be COHugh's name tag (complete with his mortifying Spock avatar), which made me feel sad.
After getting my laptop plugged in and online, it was time to set the webcam - rather our digital video camera. I got it on Yahoo Messenger without a problem, with Almasy, BabyGhia, Bleedthrough (who was planning to come, but was busy with other matters), EvanASF27 (and presumably the rest of the peeps at the northeast cookout at Zola's), and Ravenlore.
All of a sudden, the camera froze and ceased to film. Let's just leave it at that, but unfortunately we were unable to get it back online. The same thing happened a few times when I got the camera set up to run tests weeks before the trip.
We watched a little Big O and chit-chatted. I left my autograph for Shaoblane's member autograph book and was given a cutely drawn poster which BethMcBeth drew and copied for all the cookout participants. I plan to have mine framed.
When dad decided it was time to head to Orlando, I asked Tess for COHugh's name tag in case he's feeling better tomorrow (not likely) and wants to meet up. She was originally going to mail it to him, which I'll take care of in case he can't meet us tomorrow. I also grabbed one of Beth's posters for him.
I gave Lady Tesser another hug before we parted ways as dad and I sped off down the Beeline towards Orlando.
Dad and I talked barely talked along the way as I was a little tired from having to get up early, but we both concurred that it was a memorable experience.

Evan, you forgot Long Island (pronounced "lon giland"), pwnage by cat (spec. Muffin), and the most important of all, the fact that the Griffin runs on Big O tires supplied by Dark O customs in Hoboken, NJ.
Oh, and do alert me when your megadei start using the attack I discussed with you. I want to watch the horrible effects for myself...like watching a train wreck, you just can't look away...

Oh, yes, Voldemort (the ball of fluff sitting in my lap in one pic) got scared of the balloons. I had blown up nine of them, put three together (to make three bunches), and put them on the table in the den. Somehow, they ended up on the floor, and with the fan blowing on them, the 'Three-Lobed Balloon Monster' crawled around the floor and scared the puppy.
So, now the Dark Lord Voldemort believes the 'Three-Lobed Balloon Monsters' are stalking him. ^_^
Thanks for the balloons, Auntie Pyg.
Avenir was a wonderful guest and his father behaved himself. Heh. ^_^ Anyway, we helped a lot in regards to having a parent accept anime and the fans it has by explaining our own observations on the subject.
Avenir really covered what happened, so no need to repeat.
I don't know if I'll do this next year. The stress of getting ready really wore me out, and I was expecting the turn-out to be better, but (to quote Jerry from 'The Zoo') 'that's the way the cookie crumbles'.
Anyway, always glad to have a member visit the Tesser household. They passed the Fou-Fou Dog Test (Pikachu didn't attack anyone), so you're welcomed back. ^_^
