Ok...In a week, my dad is driving up using my car, dropping it off at my mom's place, and then flying back down. Now, since I already bought tickets to come down to Florida for the summer, there's pretty much no car for me down there, other than my father's, which he uses constantly, so it probobly won't be for my use during that day (or during the entire summer, for that matter). I can go to the cookout in Florida if someone is willing to give me a lift...
...Anyone?
I could possibly bring some salads, or a giant salad. Mmm...salads...

I do not think I'll be able to attend this year's Cookout.
The reason is simple...I've applied for a spot in Steamtown's summer RailCamp.

Only 26 slots, and I hope I get in. If I do...then I'm missin the cookout (but what the hell, this is the chance of a lifetime!)...if I don't make it, I'm brinin the handcuffs!

I wont make it either. I have summer school. On top of summer school, I can't miss a single session. On top of that, this computer is broken.
Anyone know how to fix this? I have to hold the FN key to type

(Otherwise, it look like that above.)

You broke ANOTHER keyboard?
Turn the computer off, unplug it, wait five minutes, and start it up again. It probably won't change anything, but it's worth a try.
Borrow another keyboard and try it, to make sure it's the keyboard that's broken and not something else.
Then tell me you need another keyboard. I must have four or five spares in my basement.

Study or Cram schools (aka hak-wons), are really prevalent, usually taking place on Sat. this is where the studious, or (in most cases) anal-retentive parents send their kids to "study". i was sent there once, i didnt learn jack-squat, since we just did questions that were mad easy that were Xerox-ed from books. the entire class was filled with humans with ape brains. so all i did was cut. but i digress...

I'd love to come, although I'm not sure if I can make the eight hour drive down there in summer...
Let me know more about what's up and I'll see what I can do!

If you want, Aircraftkiller, I'll put you down on the pending list and send you an invite anyway. No harm in having the info.
I think a few other Paradigmers are in your neck of the woods (or scrub). We'll find out more in May.

Seriously, though... there's a whole lot of PCFers on both the east and west coasts. The logical solution? Meet in the middle! ;D |
i totally second that. |
Damn staight. We've had enough of you snooty coastal people ignoring our existence.

all right, my chances of going to the north east cookout is like around 70 percent now thanks to my carpool with Dark-O. whats gonna be there? who's gonna be there? what are the requirements? what should i bring? dress code? formal, casual? RSVP? etc.
this sounds fun. a day where i'm not in my room pacing back and force, or trying to sleep/eat things off the floor.
