MovieLens is a really interesting site.
Someone made me think of it today, and it's great and I wanted to pass on the link.
The site works by comparing your movie ratings with others who rate the same movies similarly. The more movies you rate, the more accurate the site gets at predicting which ones you will really like.
I heard about this in a tech news report some years ago. One of the things I really like about it is that it shows me titles that I might otherwise have skipped or not even heard of, and it's at the point now that if it gives a movie 5 stars, I can count on loving it.
