I don't have that game so I don't know for sure, but here are a few things that you could try:
- If the game has an option to switch from OpenGL to Direct3D, try switching it.
- Try updating your video drivers.
- See if there are any patches for the game online.
- Try uninstalling the game, then installing it again.

My network connection is lost every minute, AIM, YIM, MSNM, all restart, I get a pop-up from something else, my internet freezes for about a full minute, and this happens about every minute or two. I've checked all the cords, everything's in the right place. I use IE and MSN.
I get a message from my tray saying something like a local area connection-a local area cable has come unplugged-then it goes away immediately and everything gets back online. WTF!
[Edit]
This is stupid. It seems to happen more and more when I'm not happy.

For the random popups, try the advice for getting rid of spyware that I posted in the first post in this thread. As for the network problem, do you have another network cable available? If so, try using it to replace the one you're currently using. If that doesn't help, try updating the drivers for your network card. If it still happens, you may need to replace the network card.

Okay, the spyware thing is all fine and dandy. Just for bragging, I updated Norton Anti-virus.
I dont know which cable is the one I want to look for. I'm on cable. I can get a picture of the modem and the back of the tower if you wish. I'm thinking it might be a cable. Back when I had pet mice, they figured out how to open doors really fast. =_=;
[Edit]
It's affected Launchcast since yesturday and it still wont work today. I CANT BREATHE WITHOUT MUSIC!!!!11 [/overdramatic]

Ok, Hienrich is, once again, in a pickle, though not a serious pickle. More like the pickle of a hamburger from a fast food joint. Tastey, but not needed.
...
Anywho, I use Firefox for my main browser. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to make it automatically play files like movies or music.
For example, say a webpage has a music file embedded into it, or has it playing in the background (I do not know if there is a differece... Yeah.. I suck that way...) Firefox does nothing about it. It acts as if it is not even there.
For example, my (God forgive me) Myspace link in my profile has a music file in it. It plays with Internet Explorer, but not with firefox.
Same with movies. It usually asks me to download it, which I have no problem with, but some it opens up a blank window and does nothing, making me hav to rightclick and "Save As" to view it.
My friend said to check the plugin's, which I did. I cannot figure out how to change them, just to enable to disable, which all are enabled.
So, if anyone knows how to make this problem go away, feel free to educamate me.

I suggest the
Mozilla Forums.
Anyway,
Does anyone know how to isolate the audio from a video file?

Give
Goldwave a shot, though its pricey.
So far I haven't found any video type it won't extract audio from, and I've dealt with a lot of different formats.
If you need more help in the area, feel free to PM me.

Have you tried
VirtualDub or
VirtualDubMod? Both programs are capable of extracting audio from video files. Both programs are also free. Open the video file, and go to Streams --> Stream List. There should an audio stream there. Click on Demux, save the file to any directory, and there you have it.
If the video file is a VOB file (ripped from DVD), try clicking on Save as WAV (the ac3 format might not work in certain audio players or editors), and later converting it to MP3, Ogg Vorbis, or whatever format you perfer.

Thanks alot guys.
Although It seems VirtualDub/mod refuses to open WMV's, even in old versions of the program. Any way to convert the video into a useable format?

There is... Although it may be a bit difficult to try. Actually, if you follow the steps and just use GraphEdit to save the audio in the WMV file as a WAV, you won't have to convert the video. You may also want to try
Stoik Video Converter Pro (although it is not free, there is a trial version with some features disabled).
One more suggestion. If you haven't tried already, look for VirtualDub 1.4c-asf. It may be able to play WMV files, but I'm not sure on this. Go to
www.doom9.org under the
downloads section to find it. Look for AVI editing tools to find it.
It's good to hear you have extracted the audio. In VDubMod, there is a streams menu. I haven't used VDub at all since I use VDubMod for opening DVD files, so I wasn't aware that the streams menu was gone.
I've never messed with Windows Media Video files before, so hopefully there's someone who will be able to give a better suggestion.

Success!
Ok I can open the video in VD, although it seems my version doesn't have a "streams".....
(Version 1.6.8)
EDIT: I figured it out!
Hooray sound w/out video.
Thanks!

The cable you need to look for is the network cable. It looks like a larger version of a phone cable:

You can set it so that each one can't send and receive at the same time (look under Device Manager and under Advanced, set it to "half duplex" if that option is available), but I don't think there's a way to control which NIC does which without using some kind of custom drivers.

I'm having a very odd problem with my computer. Whenever I try to save images from the internet (mainly JPEGs) they default to bitmap. and the names are defaulted to 'untitled'.
Like, here's an example..
If I go to save an image ( say, an image from PCF's gallery) it'll only save as 'untitled' and as a bitmap.
Does anyone know what may have caused this problem? Is there a way to get rid of it? It's really annoying because bitmap images are ALOT bigger than JPEGs, and I don't feel like getting Paint Shop Pro out everytime I need to save an image.
Back when i had to use windows i sometimes had that problem with Internet Explorer. I think clearing the temporary Internet Files folder cleared it, but i cant remember.
Of course you could try a different web browser

Clear your Temporary Internet Files (and cache too), that should help.
Also, use Mozilla Firefox. I know I had that problem with IE but I don't think I've ever had it with Mozilla or Firefox.

What would cause this?
I was talking with my friend, I dropped the chat window for a second and popped it back up when she replied. But for some reason nothing showed up in the message area but the brown color I have my apperance set at (see error message). It was also acting strange before then too, like the scroll bar in the message area started to blink every time you scrolled up. after I changed the IMViorment, it stopped doing that....but after a few minutes....I got that. So what is with the runtime error, what would cause it?
