A Christmas Story is my favorite holiday film. Now if TNT would just hurry and start airing it non-stop all month like they do every year.

Well one of my favorites has to be the Muppet version of A Christmas Carol. That is just too funny with Gonzo and Rizzo telling the story like they do.

I'm quite classic - 'White Christmas', 'Holiday Inn', 'A Christmas Carol' (Alastor Sim version). Also adore 'Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'A Muppet Christmas Carol' (Michael Caine was one of the best Scrooges, plus that was the best Ghost of Christmas Future EVER).
I mostly stick with the classic TV specials: Grinch, Peanuts, Garfield. I'm still looking for 'A Wish for Wings that Work' which was based on the 'Bloom County/Outland' children's book; haven't seen it since it aired, though.
And somebody DID make an animated special based on the song 'Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer'. It was so silly, it was priceless (I always knew that Cousin Mel was trouble).

- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
- Muppet Christmas Carrol (though, I haven't seen it in a while. I'll have to get it from a friend...Conor!...)</random sidenote>
- A Christmas Story
- The Grinch (This is the one with Jim Carey)
- The Peanuts Christmas (the one from long ago that aired first on ABC last night (the one with the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree). I dislike the more recent version.)

What? Are you reading my mind again? That is the only version of "A Christmas Carol" I will watch. Or at least, it's the one that lives in my minds eye.
And those Bing Crosby movies remind me of sitting with my mom and being in the holdiay spirit.
There was also a Muppets special with John Denver...I still have the poster I got from the music store where I was taking flute lessons at the time. Heh, I think I even have the vinyl.
Oddly enough..I have never seen "Nightmare Before Christmas".

Oh, my God! I cannot believe I forgot the most traditional and most-alluded to in pop culture movie ever - still a favorite, no matter how many times it's shown -
"It's a Wondeful Life".
*runs from boots and rotten tomatoes being thrown*
My favorites are definitely A Nightmare Before Christmas and A Christmas Story. (the latter is my dad's favorite, and we ritually watch it every year)
