Rate the Avatar

is this how you talk to someone who made this image from scratch on a paint program?

Realize that many of these avatars were done in Paint or something like it.

Also, try not to take these ratings personally, and don't forget to rate the avatar above you; try not to spam these topics, k?

I'll rate Buck Buck's, because I don't think his has been rated yet, and I don't think I can say anything about Greed's that hasn't already been said.

Buck Buck:

I really want to play that game. The subject is very nice, the image is clean. There's just the faintest outline around the black, but it is fairly consistent, so you won't loose points for that. Nice use of transperancy, too.

Money: Normally, I'd probably whine and complain about how there's no border, but I did the same thing with Fawful. It rocked then and it rocks now. Got a nice theme going all over, so I can't complain there... something about the sprite bugs me, though.

This is lookin' like an 8/10, I'd say.

The Big Finale -

Image quality is very nice. The white border matches the image well. There are no grainy artifacts at all. There's really not much to say other than it's a great avatar.

See, this is why hq2x and co. exist. I would bet Money's life that applying either to the original mini-head would've given a better result.

Asirt: Errr... well, it's clean and so on, though I swear there's pixel stuff around the eyes when it moves.. also, what's with the black line? Still, solid 8.5.

The character (Wilhelm) still freaks the you know what out of me, X. But nonetheless, this is a great picture. The angle at which you captured the character is amazing as is the shining light at the bottom that you can't really see, indicting that there's something interesting in his possession. The background is dark but doesn't affect the picture or the attention of what's supposed to be going to Wilhelm, in fact it compliments it in a great way.

The only thing I'm not feeling is the hair and you know that's going to get you in the final score.

I see how it is. But you must remember, yours falls in the same category as mine. Yours is all nice and jagged just like mine.

Money has an excuse, and even then it came out to be a decent avatar.

Meanwhile, the white lining of your avatar makes it killer on the eyes, and I made a bright blue style. 5/10 for you.

Nine: The 90's are after me man. 8/10, because it looks funny to me somehow.

...The irony here is that Setsuna isn't exactly standardly colored. His hair is even whiter than Wilhelm's.

As if to make it worse, he also:

1: Isn't as awesome as Wilhelm
2: Sucks compared to Kagami
3: Is emo as all hell

You attempt to hide them with silly blue wireframe, but that makes it stink more.

That is a terrible generalization. Know the chick first before you make random assumptions. And my logic doesn't need to be understood by anybody but basically me. If you're really that interested, I had that theme in the first place because I'm a huge wrestling fan and Trish Stratus was retiring from the WWE. Kind of like a memento to her and I did the same thing with Eddie Guerrero when he past last year for a week. So now she retired and since the basketball season is coming up and Amare Stoudemire is coming back this year, I made an avatar with him.

Since you seem to be distraught by avatar changing, I'm going to warn you that I'm changing again in November. SO GET READY FOR THAT!!!

Also, you gotta know the rules first hand before posting man. Anyway, I'll rate yours now. A tad small but a very interesting choice of an avatar using the mark of the Homonculi. The edges need to be cleaned up a bit but I do like how you got the right color of the tattoo and it also helps that I'm a FMA fan.

yeah, thats the problem. If I got rid of the white edges, You guys would barely be able to see it depending on your forum skin. So It would be much wiser, besides it doesn't matter about the border, more of how I was able to get the right shape to the dragon in the white outlines.

I actually changed my for a change. It's not the best but it fits my theme.

I like the use of black and white in the avatar but I don't really like how it looks so pencilized under the guy's chin and nose. Also, its a bit small but I really the use of black and white. Also, the hair's a bit too much (what's going on under it anyway? Around where the guys' hair is supposed to be) but it makes it looks interesting though.
