A week ago, Beth and Tony were passing through San Francisco. Beth, Rayna and I met up at Pier 39 for something to eat and chatted for a while. Here is the picture we got some stranger to take:

Word to the wise....NEVER, I SAY NEVER, GO INTO THE CITY THE WEEK OF CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Aside from the traffic, it was great fun.

Well, I promised I'd post a pic when they came in and despite the unpleasantness that ensued, I am a man of my word.

You look fine with glasses, COHugh. The difference between with and without is barely noticable. Smile

Nothing wrong with the glasses, COHugh! They look fine on you!

Now me... we won't go there. Wink

You'll have to work harder if you want to achieve that look. Tongue

Welcome to the glasses club! And I'll even leave out all the four-eye jokes... they're bad anyway (and I, actually, don't know any right now).

The Fallen Phoenix 01-04-2005 07:46 PM
Well, being as my eye was recently displayed a few rounds ago in the Eye Game, I suppose it is only fitting I post a picture of myself, too...and unlike the last picture of myself that was posted, you will actually see more than simply my dead profile.

Yes, that does mean I have since been resurrected, but what do you expect of a phoenix? Tongue

In any case, these are the most recent pictures I have of myself, taken at my aunt's house during the annual Christmas Eve party, attended by our extended family. A word or two about the pictures: first, my hair is usually not that tame...generally, it looks more like a mop, or so I'm told; secondly, that gold trinket I have hanging around my neck actually has the image of a phoenix engraved on it (what else would you expect?)...unfortunately, that image was too blurred to salvage from the pictures.

That would be me receiving my book on the human psyche (a gift from my aunt) from "Santa" (that is to say, my uncle's brother Tongue ). I find that Santa gets ever more perverse as the years drag on...or perhaps it's just that every year I comprehend them ever more. Tongue Most likely, it's a combination of the two...

A crop of myself from the (nuclear) family picture; the hair in the mirror would be that of my dear mother. The light on my right side (the picture's left) comes from the reflection of the flash, which was caught in the picture...

...we may have several people in our family (as it is quite large), but I never said any of them were photogrophers!

That picture is actually buried someplace in the Eye Game thread, too (for me page 19, but I maximize posts per page so mileage may vary).

So there you go, the mysterious enigma known as The Fallen Phoenix has been revealed at last. I might post one or two pictures in a few days, but do not count on it; I do not intend to post any more pictures for quite some time (if at all). Very rarely do they ever come out that well...granted, it's not as if I have all that many pictures to choose from (I actually do not have all that many pictures of myself, and even less of respectable quality).
    Madrona 01-04-2005 08:04 PM
    OMG! There he is!!!

And true to form it's not just a picture but a detailed description of everything we see.
Oh the great mystery of life is solved now. I guess I can stop looking at this thread now...j/k Tongue

    Seriously, it's a fine picture.

You post one, and we'll see what happens.

Can anyone here turn color pics into black and whites? My drama homework was to revise a resume, and that includes a headshot...and I need mine to be black and white.
