Big O Season II Box Set

Shredder 11-22-2004 10:03 PM
As most of you probably know, the Big O Season II Box Set officially becomes available in stores tomorrow, November 23, although some retailers may have it early. If you don't already own the series on DVD, this is a great (and cheaper) way to catch up. The first season box is already available, and you can find both for pretty reasonable prices. The new set is going for $30 at www.deepdiscountdvd.com, a big savings over what I and anyone else who bought them individually paid! Anyway, enough advertising, but I do highly recommend the series on DVD!

I bought 'em all seperately....

Cool stuff. I've been waiting for the box set to buy anything, since it is a better bargain. Anyway, I'll probably buy it as soon as I start making some money (which should be soon).

I was going to wait awhile to buy this... but OMG! I can't wait and that price is pretty good.

I'm going for it! I've been patiently waiting... and waiting. It'll bite me a little later but not too bad... I hope.

Must buy DVD. Must watch Vera Ronstadt kick butt. Must watch Alan Gabriel get devoured. Must watch Big Venus appear. Must melt own brain by watching Big O Season II.

Also, must find Big O Season I disc one. Thanks for the heads-up, Shredder. I am saving up for something else, but I can make an exception.

I saw it at Suncoast the other day. The coverart is horrible. Really. It looks like a photocopy. And the back layout is the same as the season 2 DVDs, all 'metal' looking. Yuck.

Why can't there be a region 2 Big O boxset with all the episodes? ; . ;

Got my Big O II box set at Best Buy last weekend for about $35. Haven't watched it yet, but I plan to treat myself to an episode every night when I get home from work. I am especially going to pause near the end of Episode 14 so I can try to identify everyone in the audience. Got a question for anyone else who has the box set... On the back, in small print, it says there are 5 DVDs, but I only count 4. So, is there just a typo on the box or is the 5th disc hidden right in front of my face? Worse yet, are there really 5 discs, and I got jipped by getting it at Best Buy and not over the Internet. Replies are appreciated.

P.S. The cover art should have been much better. In fact, this set's art should have complemented the original set. There's just no excuse. Whoever is responsible for the underwhelming package design is a louse.

Typo, theyve put the info for the UC Gundam movie collection on there for some reason

And the fact its a diffrent type of brick Tongue The art does match though, at least on the side.

I'm right on the fence with this one. I can't decide whether or not to put the Big O Season II Box Set on my Christmas list or not. Sometimes I really feel like wanting it, and sometimes I dont. Oh Well

If you get it as a present, you won't be out anything. It's not like you went to spend money on it. So ask for it. If you get and and you like it, YAY, if you get it and you do not, you're not out anything. So, what they hey, give it a try.

I want to get it just because I never saw the first half of Act 26. It is on my christmas list. Though I may not have asked for it early enough.

It's not the money that I care about...

It's the fact that it seems pretty pointless to have in my possession something I don't even want that much.

Hum. Are these discs the same as the individual ones?

Was thinking that maybe one of these would have the second season opening, "Respect". I mean, it would make sense since you hear "Respect" as a refrain during the scenes where there is BGM...

So no "Respect" opening? Just "Big-O, big o big o..."? Big Grin Roll Eyes

Please excuse my thread necromancy but I'd like to know too. I was really looking forward to seeing the "Respect" opening with each episode! Red Face

I think theres only one or two episode on the DVD opening. I'm not sure if this is the case with the box set, which may differ, but this is true of the seperate DVD's. Most of them come with that knockoff flash-like opening with that Big O! Big Oh oh oh oh ooooh! song.
