Huge Fanfic Update- 6 New Stories!

Hi, everyone. I apologize to everyone (especially the authors) for the delay of this update, but here it is, one of our largest fanfic updates yet! Tonight, we have six new fics for everyone to enjoy in the Fanfic section! I think there's a little something for everyone here:

-"Meeting Roger" By, Zola. You know the story of the first two episodes from Roger's perspective, but how might things be different from Dorothy's? Read on to find out!

-"The Terrible Weight of Knowing" By, Advinius. Henry was just an old drunk in the Speakeasy, what does he know about memories before the event? As Roger soon finds out, maybe a little more than he was ready to know...

-"Ghost Island" By, Lady Tesser. What's going on over at Rose Velvet Island, just visible from Paradigm City? Is it true that no one comes back alive or sane to set the record straight about the place? Roger and Dorothy attempt to find out in this intriguing mystery!

-"Episode 1: Kazuki, the Reluctant Guardian" By, COHugh. In this Big O/ Dual Parallel Trouble Adventure crossover, enjoy a fun look at the Dual characters in the roles of everyone's favorite Paradigm City residents! Highly recommended to fans of both series.

-"My Nightingale" By, Mr. Peabody. In this sequel to "You're the One," Roger finds himself feeling a little guilty over the spontaneous kiss he shared with Dorothy. Would taking her out to dinner help clear things up, or further complicate them?

-"Belonging" By, Zola. In this sequel to "Sentience," Dorothy finds herself coming to terms with her new-found self-awareness. Is she a "machine," a "person" or something in between? What do her feelings for Roger mean and why does Alex make her increasingly uncomfortable? Find out more in this fascinating, alternate universe look into the entire Rosewater family!

Just a note: The new fanfic script is now up in the Fanfics section, so you can now sort the fics by author, date added, and title (scroll down to the bottom of the page for the sort options). More sort options will be added eventually. Also, by default, the fics are sorted from newest to oldest with 25 fics per page.

They are both GREAT reads, and I highly, highly recommend them!

EDIT: Wow. I have had a chance to read Mr. Peabody's story, and have begun CoHugh's, and this is a fantastic update.

I recommend all of them.

Six stories in one update. With 4-5 being about Roger & Dorothy, this is pretty close to an R-D shipper's dream!

I'm glad some of you enjoyed the fics! Definately a lot of Roger/Dorothy fics this time, but the authors approached the topic in different ways, so I think there's a lot of originality in each story. What I still don't get is why I get a lot of people asking about when the next fanfic update will be and when we finally get around to reading/posting the fics, only a few respond (usually the authors).

Mabye we need a stickied fanfic reply thread for fics hosted on the main part of the site. In fics that are posted in the nightengale you can post comments right there in the thread the fic was written in, however there is no such place to do so for fics on the main site.

I can do psuedocode to add comments to the fanfic section...

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think it's a good idea to allow guests to post anything to the site, especially after what I just cleaned up on the forums... It may work if it was somehow tied into the forums, though, so I'll consider that as a possibility for a future project.

Actually, that's precisely what I had in mind, tie it into registration with the forums so that only forum users could comment.

I'd send you the same kind of pseudocode I did for the sorting/paging of the fic. Half the battle is setting up the dratted DB...

Where are the first two parts of "The Chrono Saga"?

Your fic will be in the next fanfic update. Unfortunately, there are some other updates ahead of it, but hopefully we should have it up sometime in September.
