I am looking forward to
this movie. Not only is it another Pixar film, but Brad Bird, who directed
The Iron Giant, is the director! I expect great things from him.

I've seen many previews of this movie, and it looks really cool. Pixar has done some nice work in the past, so this one should be great also.

We went to the 1:00 showing in Corvallis.
I really enjoyed this movie. The story is clever, and the animation is the high quality one expects from Pixar. I loved it when the hero said (twice!) "It's showtime!" Especially with the major metropolitan area looking so much like NYC.
The story of the short cartoon before the main feature reminded me of a Dr. Seuss story -- lighthearted but with a lesson.

If any-one here is expecting "The Incridebles" to be a childish movie, well, you're wrong. Pixar knows not only children are watching the movie, it's also older siblings, parents, ect. Even if a movie is rated G, that doesn't mean it can't be funny. Take Finding Nemo for example. I thought this would be a cheesey movie, but at times I was laughing hard! Since Pixar knows all age groups will be watching their movies they slip all kinds of humor in their movies. Frm the child's sense of humor, "He touched the butt!" to the adult's sense of humor, "Fish are friends not food!"
Well, the movie... It was funny, but a quiet sort of funny - I did burst out a couple of times, but for the most part I just grinned. The story was clever and never once in the theatre was I bored. I reccomend everyone see it!
See ya,

I really wasn't looking all too forward to seeing this movie, mainly because I think I had been burnt out on the previews. I went and saw it though only because my parents wanted to spend time with me (and who could turn down a free movie?)
First I will say that even if you don't want to see this movie, you should go see it anyway: The trailer for SW: Episode III is in front of it!
Anyway, the actual movie itself was really cute and hilariously clever. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it so much! Exhale Saga is right - it's not just for kids, infact, I'd say that there's more humor and enjoyment in it for adult viewers versus child viewers.
Definitely worth the ticket price!

Good movie, initially paid my $6.00 for the Star Wars trailer, since it shows during the previews. Good stuff...was really surprised by the movie though. Better than Nemo (saw both with my girlfriend), in my opinion. Definitely dark for Disney movie, so be aware. Will probably see it again this Thursday, since both my gf and I have some free time together....
Recommendation: go see it, if not for the movie, for the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith trailer...

it was a good movie. i went to see it the day it opened... my older sister thought she was "too cool" to watch it, so she fell asleep, but it was a great movie methinks.

I saw it last night. I tell you, the colors in this one aren't very bright. But Brad Bird did such an excellent job. This movie is not just for kids, i assure you. It does deal with a lot of issues dealt with in families. But it was really funny and I enjoyed it. I loved that little kid on his wheelie, and Edna is so cool.
The little mini movie before it was quite interesting. I knew what was going on, yet it somewhat confused me, which made it even funnier. I couldn't stop laughing.
And yes, the Star Wars trailer is worth watching as well.

I thought this was a great movie. The only bad part is that it has only reinforced my drive to become an evil genius.

I loved this movie. Pixar did a wonderful job with the artwork, but what had me glued to the screen was the awesome family characterization. I felt sort of silly, but I really cared about what happened to the characters by the time the action started in earnest.
I guess that's at least partly due to the wonderful voice acting. Holly Hunter, especially did a good job, (though Brad Bird did do an awesome job as Edna.)

That's probably the only aspect of the movie that bothered me...I wish good vs. evil hadn't also been braun vs. brain, instead of just a genuine desire to help people. There certainly are a bunch of good Roger Smith types in comics that use inventions for superhero-ing.

I thought what it showed was that the good guys had to work together to win. Sure, the evil genius had built all that cool weaponry himself, but he magnified his liabilities into his machines. By working together, the Incredible family and Frozone were able to defeat the "unbeatable" robot.
And you have to admit, Mr. Incredible & Frozone sneaking out to do good deeds was a great gimmick!

My favorite part of this movie would have to have been all the law suits which were filed against the super heroes. I thought that was a cool social commentary. </nerd>
I thought this was a cool movie, though. Another great for Pixar. I wonder what's going to happen to them when their contract with Disney expires...

Jason Lee = Goodness
This equation works for Mallrats just as well as it does for "The Incredibles"! (He's the voice of the villian)

I got to see this movie (Finally)!
I really have to say that this movie hit on all cylnders. I loved the whole package the movie provided.
From the Computer Generated Animation, down to the story itself and the character design. Unlike a typical animated film, this movie seemed... meaty.
I never thought I'd compare a movie to food but, there ya go.

No doubt. I don't think the subtext was intentional, just a result of the theme above.
I've just talked to several people who had issue with what ended up being their definition of 'special'...slashdot, for example, pointed out that of all the talented people ignored and persecuted were generally
not the track stars. Edna would have been a good counterbalance for the lack of normal humans if she hadn't referred to the Supers as 'Gods'
But the fact that slashdot was analyzing it at all is a good mark of how really broad the appeal of this movie is.
And yes...I *loved* all the scenes with Frozone...Samuel L. Jackson is so awesome. I wish he'd had more screen time.
