Ever since I got to college, I've been trading cds with hundreds of people (not to mention...um...well, let's just say it starts with a p and involves black beard). However, a lot of bands that I listen to are indie or lesser known bands, and they tend to put a lot of their songs on the internet to download for free. I decided to spread the word by adding a link to a new free song to download in my sig at least every two weeks. The music that I'll link to will be from a wide variety of artists, some of which you may know.
Anyway, this first song is called Invalid by the band TubRing. The bass line for this song is amazing. I'm working on a tab for it as I speak.

Winamp streaming media is awesome. However, there's too much porn on there.
I planned on linking to a little band called Ben and His Rack/Borderline Autistic/The Brothers Greenwood in the future

Thoughs are some good websites you found. As for me I don't download alot of music except for ones from the animes that I like. Like Bleach or Naruto. Say does anyone know of a websight that lets you download music form different animes?

I saw them back in the day when "Flagpole Sitta" was their biggest hit. I can't believe I forgot about them and that they're still around.

While not free as in beer,
Magnatune allows you to buy music from many great independent artists. You can listen to the entire album before buying, which is one of the great features of the music store. You can also use these songs on any computer, and on any digital audio player, which is getting harder to provide these days. You can also name your price, which varies from five dollars up to twenty.
