Season 2's season finale, Endless Gig, was alright. The music was amazing and I didn't really feel the ending with the cherry blossoms. But Ano Hito said that it was from the manga, so maybe that's way it didn't make that much sense to me.
He thinks he's slick (with that letter and the whole drama) but Goda got F***ED UP like you know what, and it sucks that Kuze died, let alone like the way he did. Come on, lethal injection? He should have been gunned down in a heroic way protecting the refugees and dying in Motoko's arms, saying that he remembers her, loves her, and then gives her a paper crane as he dies...
...But then again, I am secretly a romantic.
Also, this is subtle, but when Kuze was captured by Batou, I really liked how Kuze's aura was diminised so fast and effectively. Nice direction, and some nice payback for Batou and the limbs he losed as well.

I found it very amusing that they shot Goda's face in like that. It just, exploded.
I thought so too and damn, that was so damn cool though. I just keep rewinding it to watch that whole sequence. Couldn't have happened to a better political sociopath.

I liked it, but do they have to end every season with the Tachcomas bravely sacrificing themselves? ¬¬
That's a very good question. Although I liked how they died in the first season, I thought this one was nicely done and very noble in their part. And also, during that whole sequence, I knew they were sacrificing themselves but the strange-as-hell singing just kind of threw me off for a minute.

Could someone help me? Who was "that prick" that Batou recognized once they stormed Gouda and the Americans(?) close to the very end?
Yeah, that confused me too. I'm thinking he was in the very beginning of the season but I had no idea who he was as well. And speaking of this, what in the hell did the Prime Minister do? Who did she call and what was that whole thing about the Japanese fighter planes flying right over the American sub about? I knew she made orders to get the American sub out of their waters but the way it was handled was confusing as well to me.

Oh, and we all know that Batou totally has the hots for the Major.
Of course, and as she said, she does for him as well. In a distinct way I guess you can put it. Also, I liked that sequence between Kuze and Motoko with the hugging and the apples. That was a nice touch.
Peace.
